pinball is for everyone

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

5 years. I started Nudge 5 years ago on my birthday because I wanted to make art with my friends. I didn’t realize how many friends it would also make me. When we started this magazine, Pinball for us was always an excuse to talk about people (people who love pinball).

6 issues later and that’s still true.

Everyone seen in this carousel is a huge part of nudge, but they’re far from the only ones. I really thank each and every one of you for the gift you’ve given me. I don’t take it for granted. Several people from these pics aren’t around anymore and I miss them every single day.

5 years goes faster than you think. Love y’all. See you at the arcade. No Days Off.

The ol' extended backhand. Useful for hitting those "hard to reach" places...

Had a blast flipping with @therealblacksethrogen , check out the full stream here...

@waltsbar is the only spot where I don’t mind a tenth place finish. That’s really saying something for an old, cynical chunk of coal such as myself. Great seeing everyone. New story next week!

Wednesday’s at Walt’s is the best kind of tournament. Classic games like 4 million BC with questionable dinosaur French frying, and one of my old favs Fathom (not the haggis garbage).

Jeff runs a genuinely chill and welcoming spot. It feels more like hanging out with friends who happen to be keeping score than a major pinball event. I like that.

Good games, old and new friends, and Ian was there too.

Good hangs and good games at the @coffeeflipper4 Lucky Strike tournament over @revengeof_comicsandpinball. Ran into some familiar faces, caught up with old pinball friends, and watched some solid competition all night. Greg landed in third place. Snuck a few pyramids in from my collab with @bradalbright and Rudy can still go fuck himself.

People kept asking what the Dirty Pool Pinball studio actually looks like, so here it is. This is a walk-through of the room where the streams, music, sound design, and general pinball nonsense get made. Shot like a very low budget 90s MTV Cribs episode. Instead of celebrities showing off mansions, it’s cameras, microphones, synth gear, and a lineup of pinball machines squeezed into a working studio. Nothing staged, just the space where the channel actually happens.

JJP drops Harry Potter during Pride Month — while the author’s stance on trans rights is already public. Feels like a wizard mode misfire.
