@frankznortquartet
Frank Znort Quartet is not just a band – it’s a musical journey through a surreal world of jazz, punk, and big band swing. For over 28 years, this 16-piece “quartet” has stood rock solid, building a reputation as one of Norway’s most distinctive and joyfully unpredictable live acts.
With an approach to music that blends genres without respect for boundaries, and a stage presence that spreads straight to the crowd, Frank Znort Quartet gives audiences an experience they won’t soon forget. Twisted versions of songs you didn’t know you loved, combined with an atmosphere of celebration, freedom, and togetherness – that’s the band’s trademark.
For many years, Frank Znort Quartet has been a Sunday institution at BLÅ in Oslo, creating legendary vibes week after week under the motto: “Frank Znort every Sunday, We Fuck Up Your Mondays!” Now they’re taking that energy on the road to stages and venues looking for something out of the ordinary.
Ready for a band that delivers both musical excess and pure celebration? Frank Znort Quartet is ready to take your stage by storm.

Entrance is free, with responsible donations!
Come and party with us when I say Wako you say…

End of an era 🖤
They say “better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all”.
We love our partner, family, friends, experiences, communities, places … love can extend to so much more than just people.

A year ago I took a brave step to move to Portugal to face my fears in singing and music. In a million years I wouldn’t have guessed I would gain so much more.
I created deep friendships in such a short time.
I saw so many beautiful places. Connected to such wonderful hearts. Lived through heat and pouring rain season. Also, made friends with some amazing cats and dogs 🤭 Doubted myself and thought about quitting and coming back several times. Cried. A lot. But some of them were tears of joy ☀️

Many people have told me they see me as this brave woman who is not afraid to go after what they want. Living a colourful life here and there not caring about what others think of me. Some have even said they’re jealous of my choices and lifestyle.

But I’m not brave. I’m terrified as f*. Terrified of making the wrong choices. Terrified of not living my life to the fullest. Terrified of staying in one place. So I’ve always moved along. Terrified to look at myself in the mirror when all excitement and novelty had worn off.

And this is exactly what I’ve decided to do now. Settle down in my lovely Estonia 🇪🇪 look into the eyes of those fears I have pushed down all these years. And I can’t say that my heart is not breaking over this. But I am happy for having loved and “lost” than never to have taken that trip at all.

Do I regret ever leaving? Not a chance!
Did I conquer my fears? I loved being on stage!
Was Lisbon worth the trip? Every second of it!

I guess at the end of the day we all have to make peace with our life’s choices. I mean, it’s the first time we are all doing it anyway 🖤 (as far as I know 🤭)

Love is the Dance 🙌

@lisbondancesummit has been incredible. Not only regarding what the whole team has built, to create a space full of inspiration and knowledge, but also and mostly encounter wise. I’m so grateful for all the beautiful souls I met there, for all the laughters, the dance, the love 🫶
Thank you for having brought this to life, and thank you all for the great memories. I’m mindblown and so glad I stepped into this plane to Lisbon. For many more flights to see you all again ✈️
I guess I really need to learn Portuguese now 😜😂
Love 😘

Harder to build alone. So I didn’t.

It started with showing up to the same places. Until one day it made more sense to just create the space ourselves.

Come Hang at Humble sessions 💜
