Trying to find pictures of myself is like digging through crates to find a perfect record to spin. One with no flaws. A feeble attempt to find me at my finest cuz everyone born before 1990 knows broken records dont play. They set standards. The kids are catching up though since CROSLEY started teaching them what its like to time travel. But records, like pictures are sacred. I'm not even sure how they do it really; Capture sound, feelings, memories, mastery, mystery. Lightening in a bottle type stuff. They're real delicate too. Kept carefully in a cardboard paper thin jacket, tucked in a sleeve with something beautiful on the cover. But its the back where the treasures are mapped out. Titles and timestamps that underscore what was once just an idea gifted from the Creator to all who cherished it and decided to do their very best to make things on earth as it is in heaven. A sonic baptismal to help wash the world's troubles away. The real magic though is in the credits. The part only those with reverence for magic get to see. The desire to know who did what, who was all there, who the artist dedicated the magic to. After all nobody makes real magic on their own. Roles are played. Sacrifices are made. Dreams put on hold for the chance to go back in time where we imagined a future worth living. So yeah, I've been in the liner notes lately. Doing my part to make things on earth as it is in heaven just like so many who've gone before and gone alongside me. And this life, this dream, this art I'm living is filled with day ones, some here for a day, and those who still dream of "someday" with me. That list is LONG and evidence of The Lord's faithfulness. So yeah, no "we," no me, no " HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MISS COURTNEY!!" To all those who hit my line and live in the liner notes, I thank you.
