AMDA was a dream!!

I got the honor of spending two weeks in New York at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy this summer, and wow, what an experience! I couldn’t be more thankful for everything I learned, everyone I met, the experiences I got to have, and the people who helped me get there!

I’ve been trying to think of what to say about this program and what it’s done for me and there’s no simple answer. When I look back on who I was before this program started versus who I am now I see growth. I’ve learned many skills throughout this program that I know I will carry into my future. If I had the choice to do it all over again I would.

I will always remember the 5-6 hour practices every Sunday where we spent hours on fitness, opening, closing, self expression and talent. The long talks after about what we should improve on and take home to work on. Getting our big sister baskets, media day, and interviews.

I’ll always remember show week. The late nights where we spent hours talking, receiving corrections, and laughing together. Well all the nights except Tuesday night (iykyk).

But most importantly I’ll remember the friendships that I made. Every single one of these girls were such a light to be around. I’ll remember the countless laughs in the dressing room, The joke of the season “It’s just not gonna work out for you”, The pictures, The times when we were so tired we were just saying random things, The snack breaks and the stories shared.

Thank you DYW. 💕 and always remember it’s better to be a has been than a never was😉

Thank you @roxborochamber for having NSOD perform at @personalityfestival today. It is always an honor! Today our Elite Team performed their new group piece choreographed by @mackenziesimons_choreo and @saydeedance @zoey.rochefort and @therealceceliajo performed their new solos. Great job ladies! You made it look easy even in the misty rain!

For the past few years I was a girl sitting in the audience watching a program that I complained was “way too long.” and seemed “too difficult.” This year I became a girl participating in the program. I was hesitant to participate at first because I was a little scared, and I wasn’t sure if it would be worth it. Once we started, my feelings quickly changed.

Through this program, I’ve made new friendships, rekindled past friendships, learned how to be my best self, and realized that I am capable of so much more when I put my mind to it.

Although I didn’t notice the change when it was happening, I now recognize the growth from the first practice to the last. I am so grateful for every girl and committee member who has been apart of this and has helped shape me into the person I am today and the person I will continue to become.

I will always cherish the amazing memories, guidance, and support I’ve received from this experience.

And I will say,
It’s better to be a has been than a never was!💗

AMDA High School Summer Conservatory 2026
Nobody Gets Me- Krystof Tymiinski
Choreographed by Me

I don’t usually post things like this, but this is my first every contemporary choreographed piece I have done. With only a few days to put the entire project together, I am so happy this came together how it did. It would not have been possible without the amazing @tymiinski singing his original song Nobody Gets Me nor without the absolutely incredible dancers Hailey, Ceil @therealceceliajo , Simona @simonacottrill_ & Ana @anaghaggerty !! I learned so much from this, and cannot begin to express how much fun this was!
