What an amazing experience! 💕✨

I truly enjoyed having the opportunity to speak at the women’s conference yesterday. It was such a beautiful experience being in a room filled with incredible women, sharing, connecting, encouraging, and pouring into one another.

A special thank you to Amy for thinking of me and inviting me to be a part of this wonderful event. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my voice, my experiences, and a little of what God has placed inside of me.

I walked away feeling just as inspired and encouraged as I hope the women in the room did. 💗

Thank you again for having me. It was truly an honor and an experience I’ll remember! ✨🙏🏽

February is both Black History Month and American Heart Month ❤️🖤

In observance, Members of MCL wore red for Heart Month with accents honoring our Black history and heritage.

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for Black women. With higher risks of hypertension, obesity, and diabetes, prevention matters — monitoring blood pressure, managing stress, staying active, and making heart-healthy choices can save lives.

Let today be your reminder to make yourself and your health a top priority.

Because you’re worth it.

The Mid-Cities (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated proudly joined the North Texas Cluster Chapters of The Links, Incorporated in celebrating Donor Sabbath. Together, we worshiped at Friendship-West Baptist Church, where we presented a collective donation to the Southwest Transplant Alliance and helped raise awareness about the critical need for organ and blood donations.

Following service, members continued the spirit of friendship during a delightful fellowship at Winsome Prime. It was a meaningful day of unity, service, and community impact.

MCL Member Spotlight on Sherel Riley 💫

We’re thrilled to share that our very own Sherel Riley was recently featured in Cheryl Magazine, where she opened up about beauty, aging, and legacy. A proud vitiligo warrior and advocate, Sherel continues to inspire and empower others through her transparent journey of self-acceptance, confidence, and redefined beauty.

Beyond her advocacy, Sherel is also a phenomenal jazz singer, dedicated community servant, and cultural maven whose presence uplifts everyone she encounters.

Congratulations, Sherel. Your beauty and light continues to shine brightly! 💫

Hard conversations now can save heartbreak later. ❤️‍🩹

Dr. St. Claire reminded us last week: Having a plan for your healthcare wishes is one of the greatest gifts you can give your family.

✅ Talk to your doctor about your code status.
✅ Decide if you would want CPR or intubation.
✅ Make your wishes clear while you’re able to speak for yourself.

It’s not easy to think about, but it’s so important.
Protect your peace—and theirs.
