It’s been a minute since I’ve been out on a softball field, but getting the call to come back for the @willtrentabc finale was the perfect excuse.

Since I already shared a post about what a joy it’s been working with this family on this show, I’ll just say —
Season 5…let’s go!

Finally able to share this important project. I was so honored to be booked as a National Guard actor for Star Behavioral Health, an organization dedicated to providing mental health support for our veterans. 🇺🇸

Putting on this uniform felt incredibly special. Walking around in it, even just to my car, gave me chills. For a brief moment, I felt the weight of what it might truly mean to wear it. Such enormous shoes to fill.

Especially since today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day, it makes this experience feel even more profound. I can only imagine what it must have felt like for Holocaust victims to see the American Army uniform for the first time… what that symbol of safety meant after surviving such unspeakable cruelty.

To the veterans of the past, the veterans of the present, and the veterans of the future:
you will always be supported and you will always be cherished.

Thank you for your service. 🇺🇸

“You have to believe in yourself when no one else does—that makes you a winner right there.” SIDNEY POITIER

And an actor, who, from his hard work and learning with the best, made him believe wholeheartedly in himself, and for that, the agency is now happy to say, CONGRATULATIONS to DJ CAMERON for booking a principal role from the most recent casting on the ABC series, “WILL TRENT!” Way to go, CAMERON! Great to see you earn this booking from dedication and focus. And this was not DJ’S first attempt on this series, and like many of the agency’s terrific actors, they have auditioned more than once too, and this perseverance, just like DJ’S, is what it takes. And for this great casting, a thanks to casting director, MATT SEFICK who, among other series, used to cast “Army Wives.”

And DJ’S journey leading to this booking was due in a large part by LORI WYMAN, who, in her great audition workshops, gave DJ the insights and skills to ‘audition to win it.’ So, Thank You, LORI! And Kudos also to DJ’S terrific acting coach, LAUREN O’QUINN, in Orlando, who saw DJ was ready with his audition skills from LORI and confident he was prepared from all of her acting instructions, to believe DJ was ready to audition this season for “WILL TRENT.”

And to all of you, stay positive and keep practicing your acting and audition skills so you will always be ready to compete when you are requested for “Will Trent,” or any great project from LORI.

And for anyone interested to learn how to audition for film & TV or to raise your game on your audition skills, LORI, just announced her new audition workshop, to teach actors how to audition for film & TV, and for those who have taken her class, to reinforce and sharpen, your self-taping skills. It’s really a must do class from all of the great results from so many agency actors who have taken her class.. To find out more, or to sign up, Call LORI @ 305-354-3901 or go to her FB or IG.

Playing the cool and collected big brother/father, Deon Stokes, is DJ Cameron!
@therealdjcameron

Noah Stokes, the main character, is an 18-year-old Black American man juggling the fear of confronting the 10th anniversary of his mother’s passing, as well as his 30-year-old brother, Deon Stokes. To honor her, the brothers agreed to each record video grief journals addressed to her, expressing their love for her, and what they’ve accomplished and will continue to accomplish since her death. Noah doesn’t feel like he’s amounted to much in the past 10 years, and is desperate to succeed in just one thing he feels he’s worthy to tell his mother.

Shooting in October 2025; link to donate to our Indiegogo page is in our bio.

The crowdfunding campaign for my next short film “Stoke” begins today, and I’m asking for your help in donating or simply spreading the word. Every dollar and/or share counts. Click on the link in our bio to donate!

Stoke is different from my previous projects because of how personal and real it is. My last film Blood Drive was more a thriller-comedy with hints of real-world allegories, while Detention Deficit was a grounded story surrounded by more sinister and mysterious roots. This film was written as a love letter to my film career thus far, from the perspective of a young black man striving to be creatively fulfilling in a world where the odds are stacked against him.
