Traditional dojos are full of people that do not care if you never come back. The owner does, but the students don’t. I recently heard, “If you are injured during a roll, that’s your problem, not theirs.” That is absolutely EFFED UP. Space Coast Mobile Jiu Jitsu is your answer to learning Jiu Jitsu without the:
1) Real prospect of injury if you are new. Jiu Jitsu schools are terrible about pairing up white belts with higher belts. And in turn, the higher belts don’t want to roll with the white belts because they are “spazzy.” And yes, you are more prone to injury when rolling with people who don’t know what they’re doing because of the unconventional martial arts style of jiu jitsu, or
2) Jiu Jitsu politics. 🤢 “You can only train here.” NO. “You have to wear this uniform for $300 more.” NO. You cannot ask higher belts to roll. NO. Falling in love with the new girl. NO. NOOOO. Cannot attend another school’s open mat. NO. No butt stuff I mean ankle stuff. Hm, yes and no?! Damn, I derailed. Ok, back on track!
3) You pay some lazy fat black belt $150 for a measly hour for a private at his dojo that you have to drive to that he will most likely resent you for making him come in on a Sunday to actually roll (your professor rarely rolls…that’s ALL I do). He will be late, will smell like last night, and it will really only be about 40 minutes of private instruction. TRASH. That. Is. Trash. I’m different. I’m on time. I care. I smell good. I’m lean and muscular. I don’t look at the clock. I’m the best at what I do. In the world. #factual
