Where do i begin🥲…

First, thank God for blessing me with a community that has allowed me to grow & learn myself as creative. My very first time performing my poems, required extreme vulnerability. Walking in my purpose has led God to shine through me. I know i am walking testimony, but only few know the mental & emotional struggles I’ve dealt with. Others see the girl constantly moving and often dissociating but also ready to assists when someone calls. But it’s my tribe that the lord blessed me with to live out my dreams with and I’d be nothing without him. 🙌🏾❤️

Second, Monday night i was production manager and i got a chance to sit in and reflect on my Journey with @poetryonpeter it’s been many times when me & @miyanatl would talk about what 5 years would like but who knew it would this lit🥵🤟🏾

Most importantly as Multi-hyphenate creative it’s so easy to get discouraged with state of the world that’s happened to me a few times and it’s humbling. Through constant reassurance, tears and prayer i still struggled with wondering if this was the lane for me. I learned to trust the process and 5 years later I’m ready to enter my next phase as The Creative Consultant ready teach people how to successfully achieve their creative goals.

To both my Clients @miyanatl and @alifa__music thank you for trusting me with your visions. Thank you for allowing me to grow with you all. And thank you being the superstars yall are🫱🏽‍🫲🏾🤩.

Not Confused, Anymore | 08.02.24

When I was 25 I made my first EP, Confused Queen. I had just stepped into parts of who I am now. That body of work ushered me into songwriting. I did that for a year and broadened my musical and lyrical mind.

I left there and started Poetry on Peter at 27. I understood my identity and began my journey towards real healing. It was beautiful- the community, the music, my new family/team, and the experiences.

I’m 30 now. I don’t know it all, but I’m not confused either. I’m intentionally moving toward everything that I know I am, with everyone I met along the way.

So let the countdown begin 🥹 Seven days she’ll be here and I hope yall ride with me alllll the way 💫
