Every Intimate Session reminds us why we started Pinwheel Valley.

We want to write songs that hit you in the chest. The kind of music that gives you goosebumps, that feels vulnerable yet demands to be played loud, and lingers in your heart long after the last strum.

But we’ve also realised something beautiful happens when we’re brought together by that music.

Conversations begin. Friendships form. Strangers discover common ground they didn’t know was there.

That’s what makes our small gatherings so special.

Thank you to everyone who came and made it what it was. We brought pieces of ourselves, and you gave them a place to live 🌹

Here’s to more goosebumps, more songs, and more nights where strangers leave as familiar faces.

P.S. @apple we’re really missing a Pinwheel emoji here… 🩵

Pinwheel Valley, the reimagined moniker of KAIS, returns to Hot Soap Studios three years later for Intimate Session #11 on July 25th.

Crafting cinematic, genre-blurring music often described as “fairytales for adults,” Pinwheel Valley weaves together Indie Soul, atmospheric Alt-Rock, and textured Folktronica into immersive sonic landscapes. Defined by emotive vocals, intricate instrumentation, and expansive production, the project balances haunting intimacy with soaring intensity, exploring identity, longing, and human connection through deeply personal, dreamlike storytelling.

🎫 E-Tickets are now on sale via the link in our bio. Step into the world of Pinwheel Valley for a night of immersive sound and connection ✨

Some moments captured from the "Modern Guitar Masterclass" on 31.05.26.

Yesterday's Modern Guitar Masterclass was one of those days that reminds me why I fell in love with music in the first place.

What I enjoyed most wasn't just talking about songwriting, techniques, or the creative process, it was being in a room full of people who genuinely care. People who are curious, passionate, and always looking for ways to grow as musicians and creators.

Some of my favorite moments came from the conversations between topics, hearing different perspectives, sharing experiences, and connecting over the things we all struggle with and love about making music. It reminded me that music isn't just about notes, gear, or theory. It's about people.

I'm really grateful to everyone who came, listened, asked questions, shared their thoughts, and helped create such a positive atmosphere. Seeing a community of musicians come together with the same passion and respect for the craft is something special.

Thank you for making it such a memorable experience. I'm leaving with a lot of inspiration, a lot of gratitude, and a renewed excitement to keep creating, learning, and sharing music with all of you.

Until the next one. 🎸❤️

May 2nd — one for the autobiography 😉

Tonight we played at Kolla Market in Limassol, [ @kolla.cy ] Cyprus, a huge open-air night market that draws around 7,000 visitors a day, filled with clothing stalls, trinkets, food stands, drinks, art installations, and live music. It brought back nostalgic memories of the Richmond Night Markets we used to play in Vancouver back in the heydays of 2016.

We were given the 10:30 pm slot. But delays in the lineup meant that by the time we got on stage there wasn’t much time left before the market shut its gates at 11 sharp. Food trucks closed, people began filtering out, and our set ended up being cut short.

Even so, we managed to get six songs in. When we finished, the crowd yelled for an encore we unfortunately couldn’t give.

Moments like that remind you why you keep doing this. A few of the people who stuck it out until the very end had come up afterwards for photos, handshakes, and conversations that genuinely meant a lot to us.

If you’ve been in this a while, you learn quickly that the long game sometimes means playing to smaller rooms and thinner crowds. But every show teaches you something, and every genuine connection feels like proof that the music is finding its way into people’s lives and leaves a lasting impression.
