Maaaaaaan... I remember when I completed JUMP & felt like the work was done. Like all the bullshit in my life that was weighing me down was gone. But life is a roller-coaster full of ups & downs that put me right back at square one. Cool. I got the stomach for this shit. Let's go! I dropped CRASH to give me the energy to try to jump again. But this time, I would JUMP, HIGHER!! S/O to @mixedbyluzity for all of his hard work & expertise as an engineer (recording & mixing) a graphic designer, producer & friend.
Also, to @therealmuzzle @whotfisjcharmz @micahdvinci I'm forever grateful for EVERYTHING you added to this project. This is ACT¹ of HIGHER... AVAILABLE ON ALL DSPs

Where do I begin... This project started off as one song for my radio show, on #KingOfSoundRadio
At the time, I wasn't focusing on creating music, I was elbows deep into writing my first book. It's ironic that the first song was titled "Woke The Monster" because I was reenergized. The first version of #Jump was done late '16, early '17. I felt as though the sonics didn't match the the concept. I kept working. 2017, I was blessed with the news of fatherhood... Which gave me a different type of energy and more content to write about. Being in the delivery room to see @man_man_cunningham arrive in this world, changed me... FOR THE BETTER! (THANK YOU, SON) After being on a high for so long... I lost a friend to an accidental overdose. And then my little cousin @ynhefe was killed. I had to channel all of this positive and negative energy into my lyrics. #Jump recording sessions with @mixedbyluzity became therapy sessions. Finally, after all the stopping and starting... WE JUMP!!
