Today I had the pleasure of doing what I love to do, COOK! This time it’s was for the Young People and the Staff of @genesissunuk it was such a pleasure! The young people are full of personality and politeness, I can’t express how fulfilled I am after all the compliments and all this happened because someone’s mom ordered chickens wings from me about 5 years ago 😝 YOU CANT MAKE THIS UP.. FULL CIRCLE ⭕️ MOMENT

🎤✨ Every community has stories worth remembering!

Meet @christopherdayglass, an internationally renowned glass artist whose unique work explores and represents the challenges and experiences faced throughout history by African, Caribbean and mixed heritage communities. 🖤✨

As part of Black Country Roots & Realities, our young people are developing their skills as oral historians, learning how to listen, ask questions and capture real stories directly from the people who have shaped their communities.

In this third pre-interview in our series, Chris shares a little about his creative journey, his passion for glass art and the stories and experiences that inspire his work.

It’s these personal stories, creative perspectives and lived experiences that help bring history to life, while giving our young people the opportunity to explore how heritage can be preserved and shared in different ways.

We’re incredibly grateful to @heritagefunduk for making this work possible. 🙌🏾

Huge thanks to @tania.aubee for hosting the interview and @therealpari5 for capturing the moment. 🙌🏾
