17 years ago today, on October 21, 2009, Dead By Sunrise performed on the outdoor stage of Jimmy Kimmel Live! as part of the promotional tour for their debut album, Out of Ashes, which had been released just eight days earlier.

The band performed five songs that night: Crawl Back In, Let Down, My Suffering, Condemned, and Inside of Me. Only Crawl Back In and part of Let Down were broadcast on television.

After the performance, Chester and Ryan Shuck even went into the crowd to sign autographs for fans.

Formed by Chester Bennington in 2005, Dead By Sunrise gave him the opportunity to explore a different musical direction outside Linkin Park. The project featured a darker, more personal sound, blending alternative rock, hard rock, and electronic influences. With members of Julien-K joining him, Chester brought songs that didn't quite fit Linkin Park into a project of their own.

@venturamusichall THIS SAT!!!!

W our very good friends @strangelovetribute 🖤🖤

This show is just about sold OUT so get tickets NOW pls…!

our brothers in Strangelove are giving us enough time to play a full on headline set! So this is going to be very very cool! We’ve had such an insanely awesome and mixed with chaotic obstacles of a last 30 days of touring and performing, this will be an incredible way to end our touring for the year!

We are going to have to try to peace together our live show after the robbery, but we will have some temporary solutions to get through this performance. Hopefully we will be able to remedy some of the stuff that happened at the Whisky show that made it difficult for us to make it through the songs MINUS put specialized gear.

We WILL be playing a FULL set!

Super grateful to our friends for having us, and really excited to get back up to the Ventura musical Hall, and very excited to see you all!

Thank you all again for the help with our @gofundme campaign, we just can’t tell you how much we appreciate you helping us put the wheels back on our touring business!!!!
