Year 1 of being a high school track coach: COMPLETED ✅

If I could use one word to describe my first year as a high school coach at a PRIVATE SCHOOL, it would be: RESOURCEFUL.

Limited resources.
No home track.
Dual-sport athletes.
Small roster.
Evening practices after waiting for another school to finish using their facility.

And still… we found a way.

This season taught me that great coaching isn’t about perfect conditions—it’s about being able to ADAPT and put your athletes in the best position to succeed.

Listen…not everyone is going to agree with how I coach and that’s ok but as an athlete-focused coach, my priority was always health, development, and peaking at the right time.

Year 1 accomplishments:
🏆 Girls 4x200 STATE RUNNER-UP (Missouri Class 3)
🏅 Girls 4x100 STATE MEDALISTS (first podium finish in school history)
🏅 Girls 4x400 STATE MEDALISTS
💨 Freshman 100m state qualifier (9th in Missouri, missed finals by .01)
💨 Multiple school records broken
💨 Major athlete development across the board:
• 13.11 ➡️ 12.65 (freshman)
• 29.55 ➡️ 27.42 (freshman)
• 1:04 ➡️ 1:01.57 (senior 59 relay split)
• 29.89 ➡️ 28.34
• 27.57 ➡️ 26.51 (junior)
Set a goal to qualify all 3 girls relays and an open event to state…

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED ✅

I’m always humble, always hungry, and always willing to keep learning and growing as a coach.

Thank you to the ladies of St. Michael for allowing me to be your coach this season 💙

2023-2024 track season ‼️

Thank you Coach Hacker and Coach Warner for putting your faith in me and growing me not only as a runner, but as a man and teammate.

Thank you to all of my teammates for supporting me and pushing me in practice! I love every one of you guys!

Thank you to my friends for supporting me along the way as well! This is only the start!

Heck of a season! Many Ws and Ls, but most importantly grew as a man! Proud to call these people my friends, supporters, and teammates! Love every single one of my teammates, coaches, and staff members here at Park University! This next year is going to be something to behold! Watch out!
