Some memories remind you why you started. Some remind you why you stayed. ❤️♟️

For me, ChessInSlumsAfrica has become so much more than volunteering. Over the past 5 years, I’ve had the privilege of meeting incredible people, sharing moments, learning from different stories, and witnessing transformations that words sometimes can not fully capture.

Seeing these before-and-after moments brought back so many memories and reminded me of the power of showing up, giving your time, and simply being part of something bigger than yourself.

CISA has a very special place in my heart. ❤️

I genuinely love volunteering, but what I love even more is the people I get to meet along the way and the little part I get to play in their stories.

Celebrating 8 years of Chess in Slums Africa and grateful that, for 5 of those years, I’ve been able to call myself part of this journey.

I am grateful to @tunde_onakoya for his audacious spirit & for birthing this vision.

Here’s to more years of impact, more stories, more transformation, and more reasons to keep showing up. 🫶🏾♟️

Cast all your cares on Him💖✨
God cares.
God can and God will.
So, give it to Him.

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”

The ChessForEducation2.0 Children's Day celebration exceeded all expectations, leaving a lasting impact.

We witnessed the unveiling of champions, creating cherished memories filled with laughter and smiles. A total of 150 children from diverse communities were treated like royalty.

The ChessForEducation campaign crowned 13 winners from the Chess tournament and Mental Maths challenge, awarding them with scholarships, gadgets, school packs, and other prizes courtesy of our generous sponsors.

At ChessInSlumsAfrica, we firmly believe that chess opens doors to countless opportunities and education for marginalized children.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our partners and sponsors @octafx_worldwide @lapo_microfinance_bank @burgerkingnga, @bukkahut , @itelnigeria , and @thegloverhall for making this vision a reality.

We remain committed to unveiling the true potential of every child, one step at a time.

This marks the beginning of our journey towards achieving greatness from humble beginnings.
