Sometimes the urge to go back isn’t love. Sometimes it’s familiarity.

Before you reopen a door, ask yourself what has actually changed—not what you miss, what you hope changed, or what simply feels comfortable because you already know it.

Healing isn’t learning to tolerate the same thing more calmly.

Sometimes healing is trusting yourself enough to stop reopening decisions that already gave you peace.

Meanwhile, I’m out here painting, connecting, and apparently networking with my name literally on my back. 😂

I’m Alvena — LMFT, somatic coach, and The Boundary Architect. I help high-functioning women stop overfunctioning and make relationship decisions from clarity instead of survival mode.

Shoutout to @JakellOliver for creating the space. I came to paint and enjoy myself, but I’m never mad when the right people get introduced to what I do.

If you landed on my page from this event: welcome.

I’m celebrating my 51 lbs weight loss. This is what discipline looks like. It’s possible never give up. The journey won’t be easy. You just gotta keep moving forward on your good days and on your bad days. I reached a milestone. Progress is progress and don’t let nobody tell you what you can and cannot do. All things are possible. You first have to believe in yourself. Let’s goooo 😤💪🏽🔥 Thank you all for your continues support. Appreciate you all.🙏🏽🥳💪🏽💕

Everybody needs one.
That one friend who shows up with groceries and gospel.
Who sees the storm before you speak a word.
Who’ll pull up for the celebration like she ain’t watched you cry a hundred nights before it.
That’s Dray. That’s my sister. That’s my answered prayer.

We weren’t raised together.
But life braided us together—tight.
And now? She’s family. The kind that don’t flinch when it gets real. The kind that prays, protects, pours, and stays.

So this one’s for you, sis.
Your loyalty. Your light. Your love.
This forever friendship is a God thing, and I’m grateful beyond words.

We didn’t just show up.
We poured in, laughed loud, danced freely, and made space for each other to shine.
Every moment was full of color, flavor, and pure joy.

This weekend? Top tier.
The memories? Unmatched.
The women? Everything.

Soft life, bold choices, and the kind of sisterhood that feeds your soul.

There’s a version of me that used to overgive, overthink, and overlook what I knew.
She’s gone.

The woman I am today?
She’s intuitive, intentional, and not for everybody.

I don’t chase.
I don’t perform.
I don’t prove.

And no—I’m not interested in anything that costs me clarity, confidence, or peace.

Snow in Florida? Kind of! ❄️☀️

We finally made it to Snowcat Ridge, probably the closest thing to real snow we’ll see in Florida. Ironically, Florida actually got snow this year, but on this 80° February day, we settled for fast snow tubing, ice slides, and a whole lot of laughs.

It turns out we accidentally coordinated in all black—maybe it’s a reflection of our similar energy and unspoken vibe. Same personalities, same style, same mission: have fun and make memories! 🖤✨

This was Tanza’s first snow experience, while Dray has survived full-on blizzards up north. As for me, coming from Washington, snow is always a toss-up. But playing in ice and snow under the Florida sun? Definitely a unique experience!

The adrenaline rush from tubing was unreal—but if you have back problems, don’t even think about it! 😂

Trying to get together monthly has been a challenge, but we made this one happen. More adventures ahead! 🌍✨
