⚠️ EXTRA LONG POST ⚠️
PT 1

Hey my family & friends. I'm sorry it's taken me sooooooo long to make this post.

I'm sincerely in shambles over the death of my long-time (37 years of friendship/sisterhood) bestie Mrs.Veronica (aka Ronnie) Jones.
I met Ronnie in 1987 while visiting my twin sissy Kathy M Tillman Evans while they both attended Bethune Cookman in Daytona Beach. My Sissy and Ronnie were going to a party and in true Veronica Jones fashion she introduced herself and said "we're gonna be best friends, just watch girl!" NO truer words have ever been spoken. The rest is as they say, "history"!!!👌🏾
This is such a significant loss that it's triggering deep grief, because it represents the end of our shared era of history, with countless memories, and one of the dependable presences in my life, leaving me with such a profound sense of emptiness and sincere sadness.
I am however ecstatic that within the very close to last couple years of her meaningful life we mended fences, meaning in such a DECADES (nearing 4, (insider) iykyk) long friendship/sisterhood we just picked up where we left off. If you have a long time sisterhood, you know what I mean. I got to know all of the things that she was going through since the last time we spoke, and throughout the times we were speaking regularly, as if knowing she was not long for this cruel world. It was consequently the good, the bad and the ugly. We spoke of her and my own severe disappointments within our very close relationships, that being biological and chosen family and friends. We also spoke at length of the unfortunate and the devastating non reciprocated aspects of those said relationships and how deeply it cuts. It devastates and completely decimates one's internal will and makes one question their contribution (past and present) in this world and why, contemplating just leaving being unnoticed and unappreciated. We've all questioned our importance to others in this life. I know I have. If you haven't, consider yourself very lucky.
If you ever had the distinct pleasure of knowing my bestie Veronica, you knew that she was one of the good ones to tell you like it was, straight no chaser
