We got to walk hand in hand with our community today. Absolutely beautiful day to advocate and walk for our loved 🥰 ones at the @autismsocietyor walk. So great to find some new organizations that could help us out with our son. A new local coffee @mipedacitodecielocoffee Thank you to all the wonderful and supportive vendors for sharing your time. It was great to see friends from here on instagram. Thank you for finding us!! Perfect venue for such a scenic walk. Remember even though autism acceptance month is coming to a close. Does not mean our work is finished for us autism parents and advocates. We hope you can follow us as we embark on our journey to continue our advocacy spreading love awareness and acceptance for all autism individuals. Let’s go!!

🌿 From Meltdowns to Connection

A Heart-Centered Workshop for Caregivers
Saturday, March 7th
19200 Willamette Drive
West Linn

Big emotions can feel overwhelming — for children and for parents.

Join licensed professional counselor Kimia Amirifar of The Real Work** for a compassionate and practical workshop designed to help parents better understand what’s happening beneath challenging behaviors.

In this session, we’ll explore:

What’s happening in your child’s nervous system during meltdowns
How children experience “perceived threats” in everyday moments
Why behavior is communication
The power of co-regulation — and how your calm becomes their calm
Practical tools you can begin using immediately
Kimia specializes in supporting children ages 3–8 and brings experience in ADHD, anxiety, trauma, foster/adoptive families, developmental challenges, boundaries, and self-esteem.

Whether your child struggles with big feelings, anxiety, attention challenges, or simply needs extra support navigating emotions, this workshop will leave you feeling more confident, connected, and equipped.

🌞 Step Into Light, Talk It Out 🌞
Seasonal Affective Disorder can feel like a cloud that follows you everywhere—but a simple walk‑and‑talk can clear the sky. 🚶‍♀️💬
Why it works:
1️⃣ Sunlight Boost – Even a few minutes outdoors jump‑starts serotonin, lifting mood and energy.
2️⃣ Movement Magic – Walking releases endorphins, reduces stress hormones, and improves circulation.
3️⃣ Natural Distraction – Changing scenery keeps the mind flexible, helping you stay present and focused during the conversation.
4️⃣ Social Connection – Sharing thoughts while moving builds trust faster than sitting still, turning therapy into a collaborative adventure.
I have current openings! 🌿👣

Got to do some house cleaning with a colleague at @therealworkpdx this weekend! What a gift that I get to work with amazing people who come love on our spaces here! The waiting room at our “Cottage” location is jn our oldest building, and needs LOTS of love! Here are a few cute updates 🌈 ❤️
