Step inside one of New York City's most spectacular Art Deco interiors.

During Open House New York Weekend, discover the interior landmarked “Red Room” at One Wall Street, a collaboration between architect Ralph Walker and pioneering muralist Hildreth Meière.

Completed in 1931 for the Irving Trust Company, this former banking hall is enveloped in nearly 8,000 square feet of shimmering glass mosaic. One of Meière's most distinctive commissions, the “Red Room” is her only known fully abstract design, transforming an entire architectural interior space into a work of art.

Installed by the Ravenna Mosaic Company, the mosaics also share a connection with Meière's work at the three other Manhattan landmarks featured during this year's OHNY Weekend.

Designated a New York City Interior Landmark in 2024, the Red Room was restored and reopened to the public as part of Printemps New York in 2025.

Join the International Hildreth Meière Association for guided tours led by one of Meière's great-granddaughters. Discover the artistry, innovation, and preservation behind this extraordinary space.

Gold or silver? Vintage or new? Diamonds or pearls? Some answers were easy, others… apparently I refuse to choose.😂💜

This week on Substack, I’m sharing the reasoning behind my jewelry This or That answers and, unsurprisingly, why the answer is sometimes simply both.
