There are so many reasons these days that social media isn't an accurate depiction of anything. The reasons can be part of bigger systems or as personal as the individual behind the social media. For me, I have always engaged with and shared in social media with the understanding that this can never be a real representation of anyone's life. I've been noticing lately that for me it's all about habits around my phone and camera...

So here are the top reasons (in no particular order) my social media not only won't show you a full picture of my life but actually misses some of the best and most important moments:

I rarely touch my phone during real meaningful conversations, I grab my phone when something big and unexpected happens to capture the moment so I can relive it when it's gone, I'll never take a picture of my loneliest saddest moments, I grab my phone when I'm bored or not getting enough stimulus, my phone is always giving me space warnings (cuz I hoard photos) so I can be picky about what I capture, the universe has to align perfectly to capture a moment I'm belly laughing with a friend cuz I ain't stopping mid-laugh to take a pic, if my son is cuddling me I never want to ruin the moment so I don't capture it, some of my favourite moments with friends and family are the simple ones where I'm totally there in the moment and not thinking about taking a video or something, life happens quickly and the best moments are often fleeting, I feel alot of freedom to take pictures when I'm alone and so I do, I can get really shy about taking photos when I'm not alone and I never want to invade someone's privacy, some of the best moments I have any given week is during my job as a tour guide and it just doesn't work to capture that, and sometimes my phone or camera is out of reach....I could go on and on and on but you get the idea.

So here's an inaccurate handful of moments, in which the one thing it might do a good job displaying is that I am a very blessed happy human with alot to be thankful for. ✌🏻

Ep. 3 of a Busy Girl’s Guide to Self Care! Today we took the more literal route and visited @therefinerykingston !🧖🏼‍♀️💗 It was so relaxing and I got to spend 30 minutes in a private spa steam room with my girls!👇🏻

@therefinerykingston has a April promo on for your group (up to 5 people) to come and enjoy their steam room for the price of one!✨☺️ 10/10 would recommend & will definitely be going back!

I’m a very busy person who is always working and booked back to back. I find it hard to take that time to take care of myself. I’m on a journey to find ways to set that time aside to make my busyness work for me.💗

If this sounds like you, let’s learn together because there is no better time to start than now.

Stay tuned for episode 3!

A weekend full of all my favourite things 🤍

Eating well to feel my best, working out for energy, and building habits that set me up for success

Enjoying my favourite foods because they bring me joy, resting when my body needs it, and making time to socialize and enjoy life

To me, a healthy and balanced lifestyle means making space for both 🤍

Every wedding day detail tells a story.

The lipstick you chose after months of searching.
