What a day of levelling up at KUMA! 🖤💛

Yesterday’s Project Mayhem seminar brought together a room full of people ready to learn, upskill and connect.

A full day of theory and practical application, sharing knowledge and filling our toolboxes with lessons to apply to our own training and the athletes we coach.

A huge thank you to our incredible speakers, Mircea, Pat and Paul, for sharing your knowledge, experience and passion so generously. Wow did you deliver above and beyond. A priceless investment in everyone who attended.

Simple checklist of a good peak:
Was the weight loaded heavy but achieve able and it met powerlifting competition standards, if yes, go up next week.

Does your body feel like it’s been hit by a bus and you have found a new meaning for sleep deprivation and cortisol maxing…. If so taper is going to be fantastic, cause once fatigue drops the mask of weakness leaves

Simple checklist of a bad peak:
Max out every week numbers are randomly lower or heavier each week. Proceeded to max effort no matter whether you achieved last week.

Your squatting high as snoop dog at a party, and or your press commands are faster than the flash on cocaine.

To summarise:
Progressive overload 90-97.5%
1.5-2 week taper
Goal is to practice the skill of heavy SBD
COMPLETE LIFTS TO COMP STANDARD

BIG T, what an absolute day ! Some wins yesterday:
Energy throughout the whole day ✅
No red lights from the front referee ✅
Had fun ✅
PB total ✅
PB Deadlift ✅
Full send bench press ✅
Big cuddle with a back spotter ✅
3/3 on dead’s✅
So proud of how T composed himself throughout the day, staying locked in and having some fun !

Squat:
225 ✅
240 ❌ depth
240 ✅ ass touched the ground - with more left 😤
Bench:
172.5 ✅
182.5 ✅
190 ❌ just lost position at the chest, confidence is high now hungry for 200 😤
Deadlift:
230✅
250✅
270✅ PB !!!

Total: 692.5kg
Masters second place on dots and total 🤝🤝
