Quarter 4 feels different. ❤️

Not because everything is perfect, but because I’m watching seeds I planted, watered, prayed over, worked for, cried over, and refused to give up on finally begin to grow.

There are so many things happening behind the scenes that I haven’t shared yet. New opportunities. New programming. New partnerships. Bigger vision. More young people to serve. And doors opening that remind me why I kept going even when the work felt heavy.

I’m learning that you don’t have to announce every move or prove how hard you’ve worked. Sometimes you just stay consistent, keep your head down, do the work with integrity, and let the results speak when it’s time.

I’m walking into this last quarter grateful, focused, and ready for everything that comes with the growth.

No bragging. No competing. Just appreciating what happens when purpose, preparation, and persistence meet opportunity.

Quarter 4: Finish what you started. Then prepare for what you prayed for.

Women in position and in power need to be covered in prayer.. this world will find anyway to keep us down.. but I ask God to keep us all covered and protected while we navigate life as leaders, mothers, sisters, business owners, and most importantly as women! @senlakesiacollins I am always a call away.. thank you for your service to our community and beyond! Got a call today that will change my life.. let me update my story.. I’m ready.. LaTonya is what happens when purpose refuses to sit down and behave.

Co-Founder, force, and full-blown movement behind The Reign Project, she didn’t “start a nonprofit”,she built a lifeline in the middle of chaos and dared people to do something about it. Chicago’s West Side isn’t just where she works, it’s where she shows up, stands ten toes down, and gets things DONE while others are still holding meetings about meetings.

She’s part strategist, part mentor, part community architect, and part “don’t play with me, play with your mama.” One minute she’s writing grant proposals that sound like they belong in a textbook, the next she’s pulling up to make sure a young person doesn’t fall through the cracks. Spreadsheets AND street smarts. Structure AND soul.

LaTonya doesn’t believe in excuses, only execution. If there’s a gap, she fills it. If there’s a problem, she builds a program around it. If the system fails, she creates a new one and invites everybody else to catch up.

She’s the kind of leader who will celebrate you, challenge you, and check you, all in the same conversation, and somehow you leave better every time.

Unapologetically driven. Relentlessly community-centered. Slightly unhinged when it comes to impact.

Because for her, this isn’t charity.

It’s personal. With love… ❤️

Reign Career Day: one of my favorite Police Officers stopped by to discuss how he became a cop and now getting into politics! I’ve been knowing Ray for over 23 years and he definitely has a heart for the community, especially the young people! #thereignproject #careerday #youthprogramming

My annual office block party brought together families from North Lawndale, Little Village, and surrounding neighborhoods from all across the 5th Senate District for a day filled with connection and celebration. Seeing children, parents, grandparents, community leaders, and organizations come together reminded us that when we invest in one another, we build stronger communities.

Seeing neighbors from all backgrounds sharing space, building relationships, and celebrating together is a beautiful reminder of what community looks like. When we all come together, we can make big things happen.

A heartfelt thank you to my entire team, every volunteer, community member, and every single community based organization, it was our collective effort and your partnership that made this possible. Thank you to every elected official who showed up and contributed to making this event possible including: Commissioner Michael Scott Jr., the Office of Alderman Monique L. Scott, the Office of Senator Mattie Hunter, Alderman Jason Ervin and Comptroller Susana Mendoza and special guest Congressman Elect Lashawn K. Ford.
