This may be controversial, so try change my mind?

Finances aside, a Womans health status is so much more important and valuable in order to care for their future child. If someone doesn’t see the value into investing time and money into a mother’s care then do they really value that person?

I only spent like 1/2 my life doing lateral raises incorrectly until I started being coached by @glutes_by_gab

Why do lateral raises?

Hypertrophy wise - it grows the Lateral deltoids (side delts) for that wider, 3D capped look. But also, they’re great for overall shoulder health.

*Execution Set up*: Stand tall with a soft knee bend and a tight core; hold light to moderate dumbbells by your sides.The Lift: Maintain a micro-bend in your elbows and drive up by leading with your elbows (not hands!) stopping at shoulder height.

*The Lower*: Control the eccentric (negative) portion for 2 to 3 seconds back to the start.

Worries about safety and form? Safety
🛑Do not swing or use momentum from your hips
🛑Keep your traps relaxed—avoid shrugging your shoulders toward your ears

Benefits of stability stability exercises ✨
• Improves deep core strength by challenging your trunk to resist movement.
• Teaches your core to stabilise while your arms and legs move—just like in everyday life and sport.
• Helps reduce excessive arching through the lower back by encouraging good rib and pelvis positioning.
• Can improve lifting performance by building a stronger, more stable foundation.
•modifications of these are post natal & injury safe! DM for more options

*Cable/banded dead bugs 🐛*
✅ Form tips:
•Keep your ribs stacked over your pelvis.
• Gently brace your core as if preparing for a cough.
• Exhale as you extend your arm and leg to help engage your deep core muscles.
Remember: Quality over quantity. It’s better to perform fewer controlled reps than rush through the movement

*DB Shoulder External Rotation*:
✅ Form tips:
• Keep your elbow tucked into your side (or squeeze a towel)
• Move slowly and with control—don’t swing the weight
• Only rotate as far as you can without pain or compensating & choose a light weight

*Copenhagen Planks*
(They have actually been proven to reduce the rate of adductor strains/tears in soccer athletes!

💡 Form tips:
• Keep your body in one straight line from head to foot.
• Drive your bottom hip up—don’t let it sag.
• Brace your core and breathe throughout.
• Knee position is easier than starting with feet elevated
Start with your knee supported if the full version is too

*Side plank - into clam 🐚 *
(pregnancy and pelvic pain safe)
Form tips🧁:
✔️ Keep your body in a straight line from shoulders to knees/feet.
✔️ Lift through the underside of your waist—don’t let your hips drop.
✔️ Keep your feet together as you open your top knee.
✔️ Avoid rolling your pelvis backwards as you lift your knee. For extra points - exhale and squeeze the pelvic floor as you roll up!⬆️

Who doesn’t love a passive treatment? 🫴🫴

Shoulders are a tricky joint to heal - rotator cuff tears especially need a holistic approach.

-The neck & thoracic spines have been proven to directly effect shoulder function
-Chronic shoulder injury rarely (some cases) respond to passive treatment alone
-hands on treatment modalities + specific rehab focused on single arm strengthening and upper back muscle symmetry is also super important

* this patient in particular is 2 weeks post PRP injection, has just returned back to sport, works full time and has slowly returned to upper body strengthening 🫨 it’s amazing to see the outcomes when a patient follows their rehab, sticks to the plan and gets the most out of their treatment

One of my favourite quick fixes to help keep you regular ➡️

-3tsp of psyllium husk
-150mls of juice
-leave over night or soak for 15mins

Remember:
The RDI for fibre is 25–30 grams
🤫with specific recommendations of 21–25g for women and
🤯30–38g for men, depending on age

Most people currently consume less than this, so it is important to increase intake gradually by eating more fruits, vegetables, beans, and grain and proteins. Variety of whole foods is key 🔑

Psyllium husk is a soluble fiber supplement often used to support digestive health, manage cholesterol, and aid in blood sugar control. It functions by forming a gel in the digestive tract, which can help with transit and satiety
