John Lennon / Yoko Ono - Milk and Honey (1984) Milk And Honey plays out like a sequel to Double Fantasy, albeit a more raw and stripped back sequel. In the wake of John Lennon's murder in 1980, some of these songs seem foreboding and even more poignant then some of the ones found on Double Fantasy. Yoko's work here isn't as groundbreaking as what had been heard on Double Fantasy or even on her record Season Of Glass, but it nonetheless is her late husband's wish for her art to attempt to be taken as serious as his. John's songs seem more restless than the Double Fantasy tracks, perhaps he was so excited to be recording again, or maybe he felt his time was short. Either way, it's not a bad way to go out. Key tracks are I'm Stepping Out, Nobody Told Me, Borrowed Time, and Grow Old With Me. #vinylcollectionpost #myvinylscollection #dustyfingers #vinylcollector #vinylrecords #recordcollection #nowspinning #vinylcollection #vinyloftheday #vinyllover #vinylrecord #instavinyl #vinyllove #vinylporn #vinylcommunity #vinylgram #nowplaying #recordcollector #vinylgeek #johnlennon #milkandhoney

Neil Young - Neil Young (1969) Feliz 53 Aniversario! - Happy 53 Years! ... And happy Birthday too! __________________ Neil Young's first solo album and first masterpiece by the Canadian living in the United States. It is an underrated LP, very melodic and with a distressing atmosphere that cannot be wasted extending the guidelines of his best previous compositions with Buffalo Springfield. With a reflective lyrical and plaintive nasal voice, it opens with a relaxing and beautiful country instrumental continued by folk rock and pop gems of beautiful acoustic passages. Its sentimental intensity is formidable. Deftones - Around the Fur (1997) Happy 25 Years! - Feliz 25 Aniversario! The album generally received positive reviews from music critics. In a retrospective review, AllMusic critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine wrote: "Deftones tap into the same alternative metal vibe as Korn and L7, and while they don't have catchy riffs or a fully developed sound, Around the Fur suggests they're about to come into their own". James P. Wisdom of Pitchfork described the songs from the album as "intense, harsh tunes", while Punknews.org thought that the album "showcased a band aware of their flaws, structure and lyrical approach, and thus achieved an overall great improvement in said areas". Robert Christgau was less receptive, dismissing it as a "dud". Su último disco, ‘Day After Tomorrow’ data de 2008. #vinylcollectionpost #myvinylscollection #dustyfingers #vinylcollector #vinylrecords #recordcollection #vinyladdict #vinylclub #nowspinning #vinylcollection #vinyllover #vinylrecord #records #instavinyl #vinyllove #vinylporn #vinylcommunity #vinylgram #nowplaying #recordcollector #vinyligclub #vinyloftheday #vinyloftheweek #joanbaez #sleeveface #coverface #recordface

JUDAS PRIEST - Killing Machine (1978) Happy 44 Years! 📷 concept by @davidcastrogubern With Killing Machine, Judas Priest began moving to a more accessible, commercial format that abandoned the complex, fantasy-themed songs of their previous three albums. While this album still had dark undertones, it was more grounded in realism. This was reflected in their change of stage costumes from flowing Gothic robes to leather, but was also a reaction to the rising punk and New Wave movements. K. K. Downing had expressed doubts about the New Wave of British heavy metal stating "everybody was totally dedicated to having their own show, their own images". Priest were part of the influence on the NWOBHM, but not part of it. The band's new, simpler sound was the result of several factors, including a desire to compete with punk rock, produce songs that were easier to perform live, and also appeal more to American audiences. #vinylcollectionpost #dustyfingers #vinylcollector #vinylrecords #recordcollection #vinyladdict #vinylclub #nowspinning #vinylcollection #vinyloftheday #vinyllover #vinylrecord #instavinyl #vinyllove #vinylporn #vinyljunkie #vinylcommunity #vinylgram #nowplaying #recordcollector #vinyligclub #vinyloftheday #myvinylscollection #sleeveface #coverface #recordface #judaspriest #killingmachine

BLUR - Leisure (1991) ʜᴀᴘᴘʏ 31 ʏᴇᴀʀꜱ! - ꜰᴇʟɪᴢ 31 ᴀɴɪᴠᴇʀꜱᴀʀɪᴏ! Leisure is Blur's debut LP. It was released on August 26, 1991 and quickly entered the TOP 10. The album was met with harsh reviews that quickly pigeonholed them as a mere copycat of the Manchester and Shoegaze sound. Blur returns to music, to daily life, to the political problems that surround the United Kingdom and how it is that the university generation begins to question what is being done by the government. Now, we cannot think that Brit-pop was established as a musical sub-genre after Leisure, but it did leave a series of musical tracks that, traveling through time, can be located in Blur until its culmination with Parklife. Although it is not his best album, it is an important part of his Blur discography, with songs that did not become singles but have the conceptual game that became Blur's musical label. #vinylcollectionpost #dustyfingers #vinylcollector #vinylrecords #recordcollection #vinyladdict #vinylclub #nowspinning #vinylcollection #vinyllover #vinylrecord #records #instavinyl #vinyllove #vinylporn #vinyljunkie #vinylcommunity #recordplayer #vinylgram #nowplaying #recordcollector #vinyligclub #vinyloftheday #vinylgeek #efemeridesmusicales #blur #britpop #sleeveface #recorface

The Rolling Stones - Tattoo You (1981) ʜᴀᴘᴘʏ 41 ʏᴇᴀʀꜱ! - ꜰᴇʟɪᴢ 41 ᴀɴɪᴠᴇʀꜱᴀʀɪᴏ! On August 24, 1981, 'Tattoo You' appeared, the last album of the British band to reach No. 1 in the United States after eight consecutive achieved since 'Sticky Fingers' in 1971. The Stones had decided to carry out a world macro tour and they did not have time to write new material, so they used discards from other sessions, although Jagger and Richards did write a couple of new songs. Some of the songs were more than ten years old like 'Tops' and 'Waiting on a friend' that were left over from the Goat's Head Soup sessions, still with Mick Taylor on guitar. 'Start me up', the presentation single published on August 14, as well as 'Hang fire' and 'Black limousine', came from discards rescued from 'Some Girls'. Despite the time that separated the recordings, the album sounded compact and fresh. To the usual collaborators of the Stones such as Ian Stewart, Nicky Hopkins and Billy Preston, guitarist Wayne Perkins, saxophonist Sonny Rollins and Pete Townshend were added on this occasion, among others, doing backing vocals on 'Slave'. 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 #vinylrecords #recordcollection #vinyladdict #vinylclub #nowspinning #vinylcollection #vinyllover #vinylrecord #instavinyl #vinyllove #vinylporn #vinyljunkie #vinylcommunity #nowplaying #recordcollector #vinyligclub #vinyloftheday #vinyloftheweek #vinylgeek #myvinylscollection #vinylgram #vinylcollector #efemeridesmusicales #badalona #sleeveface #recordface #coverface #therollingstones #rollingstones #charliewatts

Diana Ross – I'm Still Waiting (1971) In 1971, Tony Blackburn, then in charge of the Radio 1 breakfast show, was a huge fan of Ross, and he loved I’m Still Waiting. He promised Motown/EMI that if it was made a single, he would make it his ‘Record of the Week’ and play it every morning for five days. Both sides kept their end of the arrangement, and the hype saw it reach number 1. It was Motown’s biggest-selling single in the UK until Three Times a Lady by the Commodores in 1978. #vinylcollectionpost #myvinylscollection #vinylcollector #vinylrecords #recordcollection #vinyladdict #vinylclub #nowspinning #vinylcollection #vinyloftheday #vinyllover #vinylrecord #instavinyl #vinyllove #nowplaying #recordcollector #vinyloftheday #vinyloftheweek #vinylgeek #discogs #efemeridesmusicales #dianaross #coverartwork #albumcover #sleeveface #coverface #recordface
