The reality of my classes with no trending audio:

If you had told me years ago that I’d become a spin instructor, I probably would have laughed.

The truth is, I only went to my first spin class because @carleypw wanted me to try it. I was convinced that group fitness classes, especially spin, just weren’t for me. I pictured myself feeling out of place and counting down the minutes until it was over.

Instead, I found something completely different.

What started as simply supporting my wife turned into a new passion.

I discovered that spin wasn’t just about fitness. It became a way to challenge myself, clear my mind, manage stress, and connect with an incredible community of people.

The first rides weren’t easy. There were moments when I couldn’t keep up, couldn’t hold the resistance, or wondered if I belonged in the room at all. But ride after ride, I showed up. Little by little, my endurance improved, my confidence grew, and I started realizing that the lessons I was learning on the bike applied everywhere else in life.

Spin taught me that growth rarely happens overnight. It happens through consistency, perseverance, and the willingness to keep going even when results aren’t immediate.

Eventually, that experience inspired me to move from rider to instructor.

Today, one of the most rewarding parts of teaching is helping others discover what I learned: movement isn’t just about building a stronger body. It’s about building a stronger mindset.

The bike teaches us more than fitness:
✅ Patience when progress feels slow
✅ Perseverance when things get difficult
✅ Confidence through small wins
✅ Stress relief during challenging times
✅ Community and connection when we need support

For anyone looking to start their spin journey, my advice is simple: don’t let the idea of an activity stop you from trying it. The thing you think isn’t for you might be exactly what you need!

And as I often tell our riders, “Come as you are and be yourself, because everyone else is taken.”

Three years ago, this was just an idea 💡

A dream. A leap of faith. A hope that we could create something different.

Tonight, as we celebrated our 3-year anniversary, which also happened to be my 400th ride, I found myself looking around the room with so much gratitude that it’s hard to put into words.

Originally this place was meant to be just a spin studio. I had no idea what we were building.

It’s a place where people come to escape the stress of the day. To remember how strong they are. To laugh, cry, celebrate, heal, and reconnect with themselves. It’s where strangers become friends, friends become family, and every person who walks through the doors belongs.

Tonight was everything this community represents.

A room full of instructors tonight taking turns on the podium to guide and motivate us. The staff behind the scenes that somehow help make all the magic happen. They all brought the energy, the encouragement, the passion, and the heart that make this place what it is. Watching them pour so much love into one class reminded me that I don’t just have an incredible team…I have incredible people who truly care about every rider who walks into this studio.

To our members… thank you.

Thank you for choosing us over and over again. Thank you for trusting us with your mornings, your evenings, your victories, your hard days, and your journeys. You are the heartbeat of this place.

People think they’re signing up for a workout.

What they don’t realize is they’re becoming part of something so much bigger.

A community that celebrates you on your best days, lifts you up on your hardest ones, and reminds you that you’re never riding alone.

Three years. Four hundred rides.

Countless memories.

And somehow, I still believe the best is yet to come.

From the bottom of my heart… thank you for making this little dream into something so incredibly special. ❤️
