POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

FROM THE ARCHIVES // 2007–2010

📍 Yellowstone, Bergkamen, Germany
📅 January 18, 2008

This one goes way back. We were still pretty early in the game, and this was one of our first shows.

Back then, getting the chance to open a show at an established club already felt pretty damn cool—and the Yellowstone in Bergkamen was exactly that kind of place. A proper venue, a proper stage and suddenly our little band was standing on a bill with bands that had been around the scene quite a bit longer than we had.

A huge number of friends from Selm and the surrounding area came out to support us that night. Add established scene names like Tony Gorilla to the bill, and the Yellowstone ended up getting pretty damn full. For a young band opening the night, that was exactly what you wanted.

The River Card absolutely delivered as well. And having a band from the UK as the international headliner honestly felt pretty fancy to us at the time. We were still figuring this whole band thing out, so playing shows like this definitely felt like another step forward.

Also really cool looking back today: Tony Gorilla and Paranoia are still around. Seeing bands from those old flyers still playing shows almost two decades later makes digging through these archives even better.

And once again, we have to thank Dave from Horror Business. Especially in those early days, he kept giving us opportunities like this—putting us into established clubs and onto bills with bands we probably wouldn't have shared a stage with otherwise. Those chances meant a lot to us and helped us get our name out there.

One of the early ones.

A packed Yellowstone. Lots of friends.

And our first taste of playing with an international headliner.

Pretty good way to start 2008.

Thank you to everyone who was part of it.
