My entry - ‘A Pairing for the End of Days’ is now live on JancisRobinson.com as part of its 2026 Wine Writing Competition.

It began with a question: if the world were ending, which bottles would I open… and why?

The answer involved @champagneulyssecollin Rosé de Saignée, @ermosug ’s Cuvée Boz, a Bethnal Green balcony, London-city skyline, and my grandmother’s memory.

It is ultimately a piece about what wine can hold beyond the tasting note: place, memory, identity, grief, pleasure and the occasional refusal to behave ‘sensibly’. At its core - it is a story of defiance.

Very pleased to be published alongside immensely imaginative work. Make sure you also read @charlie.geoghegan ‘s moving Out of Time, which is a different take on the end of the world.. and @wendynarby ‘s thoughtful pairing of wine and yoga — both brilliant reminders that the best wine writing begins where the obvious pairing ends.

For commissions, presenting, hosting and collaborations across Champagne, English sparkling wine, Indian spirits, travel and lifestyle: my inbox is open.

How wonderful to catch up with Rebecca @therlws today…! 🥰🥰

Our chat was brief but nice… simple but sweet… ❤️

Working with her on events at BB&R was one of the greatest memories in my wine journey. 🥹

As I moved onto new adventures and challenges, she is always the one who I love to share my news with, the one who feels sincerely happy for my achievements, and the one who encourages me to be onwards & upwards! 🍷🥂✨

We toast to the past, the present and to the future. Yesterday at Berry Bros. & Rudd we celebrated the 25th anniversary of Wine-Searcher and I also celebrated my wine journey, that started right there 7 years ago. ⭕️

It was so nice to catch up with Rebecca Lamont @therlws at the BB&R Old Shop today! 🥰🎄

I still remember the previous days when I worked with her on wine tastings… the moments I got inspired by her, as well as the many things I’ve learnt from her…😃

She will always remain my mentor & best friend, in wine and in life 🍷☺️…

Apart from hosting wine events at BB&R, @therlws also teaches WSET L3 via her own wine school. If you are thinking about levelling up your wine knowledge, she is an amazing teacher who you want to meet up! 👍🏼📚

Love it when students keep in touch as they are doing their Christmas wine shopping. I’m smiling as @maura_rois has stocked up on @berrybrosrudd #bbrsherry #amontillado #px @bodegaslustau She has just taken her WSETL3 exam and if I may say so, was a very impressive and dedicated student. In the meantime exciting Christmas plans beckon with oodles of Sherry and Champagne the order of the day.

If you would like to join our next course, stating Jan 13th please get in touch. We’d love to have you onboard and there’s still time.

Dates: Jan 13 20 27 Feb 3 March 2
