You guys, it’s been exactly ONE YEAR since I started my fitness journey. What I thought would be only 3 months turned into 12 months of hard work, commitment & discipline. It makes me so emotional & proud of myself!

My mindset & goal now is to get better & stronger with age because before this, I had accepted that I was getting “older,” “my metabolism has slowed down,” and it is what it is… I couldn’t have been more wrong.

The first clip of bestie & me was 3 days before we started our fitness journey, and the last clip was from my walk yesterday - what a difference a year makes!

I used to be uncomfortable in my own body and hid under my clothes. Now I have my confidence back. People have asked me, “where did you have 20 pounds to lose?” I had it, I just hid it very well.

When I started a year ago, I had no idea what macros were. Today, I count my macros all the time & it’s just a part of my daily life. I enjoy it & like knowing where I’m at, but it doesn’t stop me from enjoying the foods I love.

This is my lifestyle now, & it’s exactly where I want to be. Moving my body every day is a priority & fueling it with good nutrition is non-negotiable. I’ve kept the 20 pounds off while still eating out, traveling, & enjoying life. It doesn’t have to be boring!

There are three people I couldn’t have done this without:

• @officialapexathletix - coach, thank you for pushing me beyond what I thought I was capable of. What started as 2 workouts a week for 3 months turned into a year of growth. Your encouragement & dedication truly change lives.

• @thesabrinatan - I’m so grateful we started this journey together. Thank you for keeping me motivated, accountable & inspired. You’re one of the strongest women I know.

• @ceo_jmr - to my fiancé, thank you for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. You saw my potential before I did & supported me every step of the way. Thankful & blessed for you, boo.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

And if you’ve been watching me on my journey & have thought about starting yourself, start today because there’s no better time than today! Like I’ve been saying - I never regret the workout, I only regret when I don’t go.
