@peezer824 got me addicted to @owlowl_street som tum platter and every time I pick someone up from LBX, I’m ordering. This mom & pop Thai spot opened up a 2nd location off of @belmontshorelb called @thesecondowl . I love how the menu is edited to only the greatest hits of Thai cuisine and giving us bites of variety when our tummies want it all.

There’s a spot in Belmont Shore called @thesecondowl that serves Thai & Lao cuisine, and they’re fantastic. I’ve enjoyed everything there across the board.

The appetizers, pad see ew, khao soi, and boat noodle are all incredible. However, my favorite dish here is the nam khao tod.

Nam khao tod is a Laotian and Northern Thai salad comprised of crispy rice, fermented pork, and a tangy lime dressing. The result is a refreshingly bright and texturally balanced dish.

All in all, The Second Owl is one of Long Beach’s best Thai spots. Next time you’re looking to try something new, be sure to give them some love!

Yelp had Long Beach outside! ⭐️❤️

Spent the evening at Yelp Sideline Social at Sports Basement sampling bites from local restaurants, sipping on some good drinks, playing a few games, and discovering some new favorites along the way.

Even better, the night supported K9 Kismet Dog Rescue and the work they’re doing in the community. 🐾

Good food. Good drinks. Good people. Good cause. That’s a night well spent. 🙌🏾
