“The Leap”

The gull does not wait for its wings to form,
It leaps into the blue, through calm and storm.
The half-moon hangs — a witness, pale and still —
Watching the fall become the upward will.

For wings are not a price we pay to fly.
They are the gift the leap itself unties.
No one who ever rose into the air
Was ready first. They were made ready there.

So do not wait until you feel complete.
The sky has never asked for perfect feet.
Just leap — and somewhere in the falling through,
The wings you thought you lacked
will carry you.

✨ When a thought becomes a table, and a table becomes a story. ✨

This week, I was deeply humbled to see my journey featured on @theseventhseat website and @the8thvoice podcast.

https://theseventhseat.com/the-eighth-voice/waco-tao

There’s something profoundly moving about having your story — your “why” — captured with such care and intention. That’s exactly what Steve George Makris has built with The Seventh Seat. Not just a show, but a space where strangers become storytellers, and authenticity is the only currency that matters.

To Steve — thank you for seeing the story, for holding the space, and for creating a platform where voices are truly heard. 🙏

“Everything starts from a thought.”

🍵 Here’s to the conversations that change us. Here’s to the people who create space for them.

“The Seat”

I came not for the name, nor for the show,
But for the quiet truth that tables hold —
Where words are not rehearsed, but gently flow,
And stories are not taken, but unfold.

A single seat can hold a world of trust,
A moment’s pause can bridge what years divide.
When presence speaks, the noise of pride grows dust —
And in that silence, something true resides.

I left with more than I had brought that day —
A deeper trust in staying fully near.
Not every gift arrives with loud display:
Sometimes it comes as a quiet chair, and the courage to be here.

Over the last decade, one thing I’ve learned is that there is always another layer to uncover.

I’ve spent years pushing my physical limits through BMX, basketball, Australian Ninja Warrior and high-performance sport, but some of my biggest growth and flex, has come from learning to let go of other people’s expectations, opinions and the need for approval.

The more you let go, the more space you create to discover who you really are.

And the beautiful thing is, there’s always more.

I recently had the opportunity to share a little more of my story with The Seventh Seat.

Watch this space… The 8th Voice® is coming soon.

GIVERS GET

When you let go, it’s not for gain —
Yet gain lies hidden in release.
A heart that’s open, free from strain,
Draws all things home, brings them to peace.

Do not contend — your voice will reach;
Do not grasp — your meaning grows.
One thought can bridge the world’s wide beach,
A fragrant wind where blessing flows.

《捨得》 • 陶醉

捨時非為得，得在捨中藏。
心若常開處，萬物自歸航。
不爭聲自遠，不取意偏長。
一念通天地，清風滿座香。

Rocky Point Aquaculture continues to push boundaries, not only producing premium Queensland seafood, but also exploring what the next chapter of responsible aquaculture can look like.

Come and meet Serena and the RPA team at our upcoming:

The Best First Date Ever ❤️

The best conversations happen when we skip the fluff and get real.

A huge thank you to @theseventhseat for inviting me to be part of this incredible experience. Sharing stories, connecting with complete strangers, and witnessing the power of authentic conversation was something truly special.

What I loved most was how quickly the masks came off and genuine human connection took over. In a world full of distractions, this experience reminded me just how powerful it is to be present, curious, and open to hearing someone else's story.

I'm so excited to be part of this ongoing project and to see the impact these conversations continue to have.

If you haven't checked out the latest episodes yet, now is the perfect time.

Most people don’t fail because they’re untalented.
They fail because they spend their whole life waiting for permission.

Permission to speak. Permission to create. Permission to go after the thing that sets their soul on fire.

But here’s what I’ve learned…

When something changes your physiology, that’s when you know it matters. That feeling in your body. That energy. That fire. That excitement you can’t stop thinking about.

That’s your passion speaking.

People ask me all the time: “What should I do with my future?” “Should I coach?” “Should I work behind the scenes?” “Should I get on set?” “Should I build something bigger?”

And my answer is always the same…

What lights you up so much that you forget to care what anyone else thinks?

Because what people think of you will either build your cage… or fuel your fire.

The moment you stop asking for permission and start backing yourself fully, everything changes.

You stop playing small. You stop hiding. You stop waiting.

And the craziest part? Once you stand for something with certainty, passion and conviction… people start standing beside you too.

A powerful conversation with @theseventhseat about trusting your vision, backing yourself, and going after your dreams anyway.

Because the people who change their lives are usually the ones willing to look crazy before it all makes sense.
