As Spooky season gets into full effect, I want to give thanks for a life changing year. New opportunities, performances, movies (😫😫 so excited), and a new love to conquer all. Made it out my 20s, and in my 30s, if it ain’t peace, f**k off.

I am honored that I have been elected to serve as Chairperson of Advisory Neighborhood Commission 8C (@ANC8C). It’s a responsibility that I take very serious. For the record, I do not do it alone. I have a very great team of commissioners that I work with. They all bring valuable skills to the table. As Chair of the Commission, I make it my responsibility to ensure the traffic safety & infrastructure of the community is to standard. I am responsible for having the environmental pollution issues we face addressed. I work to make sure the infrastructure of the schools in our community is to standard. I’m responsible for helping to ensure the public safety in our community by working with a variety of law enforcement agencies. We also have to make legislative and budget recommendations to the Mayor and Council of the District of Columbia. This year I’d like to focus on mental health and wellness of our community, as well small business development. I look forward to providing leadership to over 14,000 residents, the businesses, schools, non profits and faith based institutions in our Commission. Thank you to all that have supported the journey for building a better community. We will #RaiseTheBar to #AStandardOfExcellence. #WeAreWard8 Commissioner @SalimAdofo Chairperson Advisory Neighborhood Commission 8C

We have MET Gala a run for their money. Very grateful to come into the New Year with this wonderful group of people. There are some missing from the photo but I am genuinely blessed for the people that I’ve befriended. Wishing for peace and happiness and continued shared memories with loved ones.

The Fletcher team continues to grow as we just finished up another strong weekend for the campaign. Spent some time celebrating a dear friends birthday in Ivy City and today held an amazing Meet & Greet at the home Carmen Roberts Williams. She is the President of the North Michigan Park Civic Association and I am so honored to have her support. Humbled by the support and ready to keep working on behalf of all residents in Ward 5. Huge shoutout to my team. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾👌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Brick by brick is how we will win this election.

Some pictures from an amazing campaign launch party at Provost this past Friday. This is truly a people powered campaign and we are doing this together as we build upon the great work of those who have come before me. I want to thank my family/friends, community leaders, and Ward 5 residents for coming out. I hope you enjoyed yourself. I won’t let you or Ward 5 down throughout this campaign. PS: We have an amazing staff and group of volunteers. None of this is possible without each of you. Thank you Juan Torres for the wonderful pictures too. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

We had a great time at our Meet & Greet in the Fort Lincoln Community of Ward 5. Special thanks to Pierre Hines and Bob King for hosting us today. Also want to say thanks to Pho Wheel Food Truck for being apart of our event. The team was able to meet many residents that make up the diversity of Ward 5. We look forward to our other Meet & Greets all around the ward. Our slate truly represents the diversity of Ward 5 and the Democratic Party while ensuring that the history of Native Washingtonians will never be lost as we grow, live, and work together. #unity

Members of our slate joined Brookland residents to enjoy some Peruvian chicken from the Peruvian Brothers. We also joined residents at Monroe St. Market. We always want to promote diversity, because thats what the Democratic Party is all about. Thank you to Enid Doggett for taking us around the Brookland community. We want to lead a diverse party in Ward 5 that honors the traditions and legacies of those that came before us. We will work hard for that each day.
