I, finally, found some time to watch the ‘Running with our eyes closed’ documentary about @jasonisbell @amandapearlshires and the 400 Unit. What an incredible journey of life, marriage, living through the pandemic, friendships and song writing that led to such an amazing album ! If you haven’t seen #jasonisbellandthe400unit live, do yourself a favor and go ! It was cool to see our friend @sadlervaden on there… and @thechadgamble (brother of @algamble1 w/ @stpaulandthebrokenbones .. such an honor for me, personally, that we have the opportunity to work with these talented musicians and get to see them live from time to time !

One of my favorite games to play on stage is, “how much drum maintanence can I do without loosing this groove?”

To say that Saturday night at @lightupthelyric with @stpaulandthebrokenbones was epic would be an understatement. It was one of the highlights of my career and a personal and artistic milestone. I will remember that night forever.
I also have a feeling there will be some good photos and video coming soon. 🥳

@stpaulandthebrokenbones’ new album, 𝐴𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑙𝑠 𝐼𝑛 𝑆𝑐𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝐹𝑖𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, came out today. It’s incredible. It truly is special to see such talented artists from Alabama succeed the way these guys have.

Here’s some shots of an acoustic performance and record signing the band did this afternoon at @10000hzrecords in Opelika.

Well friends it’s midnight on 4/20 and that means you need to put down your drug paraphernalia and pick up a copy of the new @stpaulandthebrokenbones LP “Angels in Science Fiction”! Looking back it’s pretty surreal to think we made this record in Memphis at @samphillipsrecording just a few weeks after finishing the Alien Coast In Birmingham. A whole lotta folks made this record special including 2nd engineer @gravybone_ and Memphis Legend Sam Shoup who did the String Arrangements! The strings were performed beautifully by the @famesproject. This record was mastered by the one and only @plyman. Big Big thanks to @atorecords for putting these LPs out! Thank You Paul, Jesse, Al, Kevin, Chad, Browan, Amari and Allen, I don’t think I’ve laughed harder or ate more BBQ. You guys are the best of the best.

This Friday, April 21, 2023, @stpaulandthebrokenbones release our new album, “Angels In Science Fiction.” These are pictures from the week when we recorded it at @samphillipsrecording with @monsieurmatt
It was truly a group effort and it is one of my proudest achievements as an artist. I am privileged to be in a band where I get to function not only as a drummer, but as a co-writer and co-arranger, which has been my dream ever since I started making music. I am so excited to share this album with the world.
