What Up Family? 🔑 The day has finally come for me to release my EP GET FREE.

Produced, Arranged, and Channeled by me, except where noted below.

It all started with a simple Post-it note in 2021 and grew to a spiritual awakening and a complete upheaval and collapse of everything in my life by the end of 2025.

What started out as me going to the studio in 2022 and 2023 occasionally making records turned into me being moved to go in the booth and channel lyrics, without ever writing anything down. I just let the music move me and let the spirit flow freely through me.

It wasn’t until I was 3-4 records in that it started to take shape and I was like, wait this is actually a project and something being directed by my higher self.

At first, it was just me and my engineer @thekidcus who I’ve been working with for over 25 years and then slowly but surely past collaborators ‘showed up’ and showed out.

My guy @gritlok came at a pivotal time and was instrumental in not only spitting bars of life on both ‘Spirit’ and ‘Step Into Your Power’ but also helped me glue it all together and sequenced it. He also created this visual for Rainy Day (three years ago!)

Super Producer @therealaganee has been riding shotgun with me over 20 years and gave me Step Into Your Power, and co-produced Purge N Pivot and Spirit.

My ace @misspriscillastar was key with creative input and encouragement while the project was recorded and mixed by the unicorn @thekidcus and Tim Boyce of @thesounddesign mastered it to perfection. My young boi @saidbysed came in the final stretch with timely engineering as well.

It’s a sonic journey of identity, clarity, and becoming. Six records documenting my pain, hurt, happiness, joy, and ultimate “freedom” from traumas, patterns, and lower-self tendencies. This work captures a moment in time and I’m only now able to release it to the world as I’ve safely transited the depths of that valley.

My hope is that you listen, digest, and share if you’re moved to do so. Maybe it will inspire…and light a fire…in you.

And, clearly, it’s never too late to be great.

Lyrics:
A vision, a movie
A lifetime, just for me
Won’t narrow my field of view
Whether big dreams or small things
No one can stop this
I will keep pushing through

‘Cause no matter what they say
I know just how to operate
Won’t build it in a day
But there’s no way it won’t be worth the wait

So, unfold your plan
Stretch out your hand
Aiming at your mark
Shoot your arrow far

They say they won’t wait
They won’t pay the asking
They’ll find someone who fits the size
But I know that I won’t
Get played by this tired trope
We will reap all the seeds we’ve sown

They don’t know how we do

How we hold it all, how we break the walls
Make room ‘cause here we come
There’s a million ways that we can shape our fate

So, unfold your plan
Stretch out your hand
Aiming at your mark
Shoot your arrow far
Give them a run
Do it ‘til it’s done
Reach up for the stars
Shoot your arrow
Shoot your arrow far (Shoot your arrow)
Shoot your arrow far (Shoot your arrow)
Shoot your arrow far (Shoot your arrow)
Shoot your arrow far

Do it ‘til it is done
Ah yeah

🌬️ Water Has Her Way With Us 💧
Available on all streaming platforms now! 🧜🏼‍♀️🎧

A gentle and intimate poetic immersion born through postpartum tides and a lifelong conversation with water. For those who want to feel into her flows, and not just listen. 🌊

Slow, sensuous and made to be felt. 🌹

A love letter to water, born from postpartum tides and late nights. 🌊🌌

This is an aural immersion, an invitation to feel how trust becomes current, how despair can transpire into beauty through the very act of moving through it, how water in all her forms always, always finds her way with us.

Made to feel like slow evenings by tropical shores, or the kind of music that invites lovers to stay in bed and let the world wait. 🌅

The waters are ready and waiting and they have so much to share with you in relation to how to move through this world without losing yourself to it. 💧

Let water have her way with you. 🐚

📻Co-produced by my brother @youniqueflavour and mastered by Tim Boyce @thesounddesign .
Thank you so much for co-creating this sonic poetry with me. 🙏🏼

🎥 Video by @harrison.j.studios . Thank you for your delicate care and artistry. 🙏🏼

Dress by @gingerlilyofficial

Water Has Her Way With Us was inspired by the lands and waterways of sacred Bunurong Country, Wurundjeri Country, Wadawurrung Country and the Nusantaran tropics of Malaysia. 🌏🧜🏼‍♀️

🌬️ If you feel called to share this track, please feel free to. I would love for it to spread across seas, stir hearts and seep into anyone’s being who wants to breathe in some warmth and beauty. 🩵🙏🏼

Love, Mina 🧜🏼‍♀️
