“Odyssey” by Dove Mosis (HipHopMedicine)
From the full length album HipHopoetics 💿 OnAllPlatforms

#DoveMosis #MoveDosis #HipHopMedicineMan #LyricalShamanism #HipHopoetics

For those MCs and Rappers who say they “don’t write” ✍️
Good for u … imagine if the ancients didn’t “write” either
Then we would have no scrolls or scripts or books of knowledge to study and learn from.

To me “writing” with the hand is an essential aspect of the cognitive ability and spiritual connection to poetry and lyricism.

Right now they are gathering legendary MCs rhyme books to put into the Universal Hip Hop Museum so others can view the true magic of their pen on the paper just like we discover sacred texts and scrolls from long ago that if weren’t written down we would never have known.

Not only do I write daily but I also have mastered the art of freestyle rapping for the last 25 years. To me these are completely different parts of the brain 🧠. A lot of rappers who only freestyle all the time, their written raps are weak and sound just like a freestyle flow, where as those who are masters of the quill 🪶 etch timeless lyrics with depth and intelligence that just cannot be compared to a freestyle rap.

At HipHopMedicine we teach both sides of the brain 🧠
Writing ✍️ and Freestyling 🎤 which really one only boosts and amplifies the abilities of the other.

I loved having the opportunity to slow down and tune in with this animal. I loved the way she moves so carefully and calculated.

Such a beautiful exchange of observation and listening.

May we never stop learning from the world around us.

This whole performance felt like a prayer answered ✨

Getting to dance together as sisters is one of our favorite places to be.

Years of training and dancing side by side, growing together, and sharing a language that doesn’t need words.
🤍

Thank you @contra.slaps for supporting the vision and inviting @we.are.esoterra to @cervantesmasterpiece. The audience was hyped!

It’s been sweet to witness you blossom through your devotion.

Cheers Too many more collabs in the future.

📍uvita, costa rica; march 2026 ||

little bird with the lion heart and tangled hair—sometimes, on these sweltering city nights, i think of you. somewhere out there, wings spread, flying free. i look for you in the tree just outside of my bedroom window, wondering if it’s you singing, or if it’s me. i sometimes feel as though i live two lives in one body. one goes through the motions, and the other is the motion. gliding on the buzz of being, with no thought of when’s or where’s or wanting of another world. where there is just sun and wind and today. it’s raining now and somewhere between the thunder and the downpour i remember dancing through this dusk as it melted into dawn, and the way the first rays of day felt on free and feathered skin. i like to think you’re out there, but i also like knowing that you’re here, somewhere within. waiting for the storm to pass and for the window to open once again.
•
i have to remind myself sometimes how it felt to be this full and in flight, this final day of envision. @envisionfestival
it reoriented me, completely.
setting sights on the future, and this feeling coming back to me.

It seems like 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 longer than two years since @thestellarbloom brought our paths together at @electric_forest and there’s not a day I’m not grateful she brought us into one another’s lives. Whether we cross paths on day zero or day four, it’s no less special, and I am blessed to call this incredible woman @kennedy.kibbey a friend 🫶🏻⁣
