One of my three full-body strength sessions each week, everything listed but not all shown.

Alongside boxing and Thai boxing, this is how I’m keeping myself strong, explosive and durable at 62.

Today’s session:

• Band rotations
• Supported band half circles
• Slam ball box jumps
• Goblet squats
• Offset push-ups
• Single-arm dumbbell high pulls
• Single-arm dumbbell rows
• Seated plate V raises
• Alternating band reverse delt pulls
• Banded curls
• Banded tricep extensions

This is one of the three full-body strength sessions I do each week alongside my boxing and Thai boxing. The aim isn’t just to be strong—it’s to stay athletic, explosive, resilient and able to keep doing what I love for years to come.

At nearly 62, I’m still learning, still progressing and still enjoying every session.

Strong. Explosive. Durable.

Two years ago, starting out with Macca… compared with the other day.

The difference that patience, consistency and having a great coach can make is incredible. Progress doesn’t happen overnight, but keep turning up, keep learning and trust the process.

At 62, I’m proof that you can still improve, get fitter, sharpen your skills and become better than you were before.

Age is not an excuse. Keep going.

I can’t wait to keep getting stronger on my back squats to support my future streetlifting comps!

I originally booked onto @djswolfpack squat seminar, hosted by the beautiful @thestrengthqueen , to deepen my knowledge and help break through a plateau I’d hit after focusing so heavily on calisthenics.
Just because I’m a PT doesn’t mean I know everything, and I truly believe that seeking out specialists in their field is one of the best ways to keep learning and improving and if I want any real chance at the streetlifting comps, I know I need to seriously up my back squat game.
Daz was incredible.
Straight away he spotted what I was doing wrong and corrected my positioning, and the difference was instant.
I ended up getting my long term goal of 100kg!
He was so knowledgeable and such a character 🤗

Also big love and respect to my own PT @shaneleept for always encouraging me to learn from specialists and keep pushing my standards as both an athlete and a coach.💪🏼💖

Feeling really nervous posting this 😅 but
Progress over perfection right 🤍✨

I’ve just finished my 12-week PT journey with Angie @thestrengthqueen and honestly couldn’t recommend her enough. She held me accountable in a way that felt supportive, not overwhelming, and completely changed how I feel about strength training (which I’d never really done before).

She kept me consistent right through December and taught me so much about protein, tracking properly, daily steps, and correct form, which has made such a difference.

I’ve lost 8kg, I’m in a really good routine, and I feel stronger and more confident, but I know I’ve still got a way to go to reach my goals. This is way out of my comfort zone posting pics like this 😆 and I’ve definitely still got work to do to get the butt and abs I want 😂🍑 but I’m 100% on the right track.

Thank you Angie 🫶🏼

What a beautiful event! I learnt a lot from the other speakers. I loved sharing my knowledge. I enjoyed participating in the skincare, Pilates and sound bath. Joanna from JC-Therapy has an angelic voice. Thank you @our.menopause

You're never too young to learn about menopause. Preparation is key. The earlier you start to look after your body the easier the transition will be.

❤️❤️❤️ Today I am celebrating
I have SMASHED my own weight loss goal!
I receive messages and emails every day from people saying
‘How have you done this?’

🥰There is one fundamental reason and it’s not WHAT but WHO has been instrumental in my success to not only smash off the 6 plus stone in weight🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾 but who has helped me work on my fitness, my mindset and is a constant in my life.

This woman is called Angie Wilkinson Many people say ‘I have a PT at the gym’ ‘I work with a PT’ ‘I work with someone off instagram’ and so on…

🥰However very few can say this….like I can! I train with an Athlete - Angie has been working in the Health & Fitness industry for two decades! She has trained 1000’s as a personal trainer for 17 years. She is a FULLY qualified trainer/coach with an Honours BSc in Sports Science and Nutrition.

She has successfully competed in professional body building competitions, she boxes, weight lifts, swims, runs, studies Jujitzu, has mastered Yoga & Pilates, and trains her clients in all these disciplines including several holistic approaches such as Breathwork.

With over 20 years of nutriton and sports & fitness industry knowledge, she has coached us normal folk to athletes & premier league footballers. She is highly respected by her industry peers. She is currently studying the impact of The Menopause in relation to a woman’s body and how to train a woman through #menopause.
I am living proof of that journey…I have trained every week through menopause, a #pandemic and rebuilt my physical and #mentalhealth with this incredible woman.

She trains clients in their home, in the gym, on line and she is always on hand to assist us all!
Angie is 51 years old. She has a body that is testament to her discipline, her belief structure, her mindset and she imparts this knowledge daily with love and kindness and support to all of us, her clients❤️- My journey with Angie has taken us 3 years, I’ve cried, vomited, screamed, struggled, been in DOMS pain, but with Angie by my side I have never once given up!
