POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last month, I joined the @jessijeanhome Yap Challenge hoping to find clarity around a message I’ve been trying to articulate for years:

I deeply believe our dreams are given to us for a reason, and they deserve to be taken seriously.

But I also know how lonely going after a dream can feel, especially when the path you’re choosing doesn’t necessarily follow the societal norm.

I’ve always believed there are far more people carrying dreams than we realize. We just don’t always have spaces where we feel comfortable talking about them, where we can say them out loud, talk honestly about where we are in the process, and receive the encouragement, perspective or support we need to keep going.

Then one of the Yap Challenge assignments was to create an event you wish existed.

So I created the Dreamer’s Dinner Club.

What started as one assignment turned into a room full of people talking openly about their dreams, their obstacles and what they’re excited to build. 🥹

Last night was the first one, and it was incredibly special.

I’m so grateful to @jessijeanhome and the Yap Challenge for giving me the push to create the kind of space I’ve wished existed for years.

An extra special shoutout to my mom and sister for helping me bring the vision of the night to life 🤩🍊 And to the women who showed up with open hearts and took a chance on this dinner.

Here’s to seeing where it goes from here. 🧡✨

Last night I attended the very first “Dreamers Dinner Club”-Summer Soirée Edition, and I am still thinking about how beautifully this entire night came together. 🤍✨🍊

The idea was created by @allieotter after joining the @jessijeanhome yap challenge and being encouraged to connect with people in her own community… and instead of just thinking, “that would be fun,” she actually MADE IT HAPPEN. 🙌

She invited a group of women into her home - many of us complete strangers to one another - and created the most beautiful, aesthetic space for people to meet, connect, laugh, dream and have conversations we probably never would have had otherwise.

And the execution was incredible.

Every. Single. Detail. 🤌🏼

The tablescape, the food, the questions, the little touches throughout the night, the atmosphere… everything was so intentional and so beautifully done.

I RSVP’d knowing literally no one, showed up at the home of a woman I had never met 😂, and left after spending the night with the most amazing group of women I probably never would have crossed paths with otherwise. 🫶🏻

Allie, thank you for having the idea AND being the person who actually brought it to life. You created something really special, and I’m so grateful you included me. 🧡

And @jessijeanhome I think it’s safe to say the “go create your community” assignment worked. 😂👏🏼 I am certainly inspired!!

Dreamers Dinner Club is officially becoming a quarterly event, and after last night… I cannot wait to see what she dreams up next. Love you my new, fabulous friend @allieotter 🏵️✨ #jjyapchallenge
