HAAAAAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!! 🎂🥂

FOUNDRY Wandsworth is officially TWO, and of course we weren’t going to let that go by without a proper celebration.

as much as we love the space, it’s our members who really make FOUNDRY. The familiar faces, the friendships and all the little things that happen in between.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along to celebrate with us and to all our members who’ve been part of the last two years. We couldn’t do it without you, and frankly, it wouldn’t be nearly as fun.

Here’s to another year of good company, questionable amounts of prosecco and plenty more excuses to throw a party.

One room, two characters.

At The Tapas Room at New Acres, Wandsworth, a single 1,000 sq ft space shifts from deli and bottle shop to tapas restaurant and wine bar. The curving oak bar holds the room together, while Klompie brick and microcement meet in a playful zigzag, giving the floor its own sense of movement.

It is a hospitality design shaped around how the room is actually used, and around the people who bring it to life. What makes a restaurant feel like somewhere you want to stay?

Tomorrow marks three months since we opened the doors to our new restaurant 😵‍💫❤️

We’ve spent most of our careers opening restaurants for other people… turns out it’s a LOT more stressful when it’s your own money. 😂

In May 2024, we took the leap and bought The Tapas Room in Tooting Broadway. Admittedly, that leap was a little easier - it was already up and running, had its own identity and was happily doing its thing.

Just over two years later, we somehow decided one restaurant wasn’t stressful enough… so we opened another one. This time, from scratch.

And tomorrow, we’ll be three months in.

Three months of incredible highs, a few lows, plenty of sleepless nights, stressing about absolutely EVERYTHING, a few more grey hairs and definitely a little less hair. 😂

Has everything gone perfectly? Absolutely not.

Is it finished? Not even close.

But Rome wasn’t built in a day - and apparently neither is a restaurant!

There are still a million things we want to change, improve and add, but seeing the restaurant full, watching new guests become regulars, and seeing something that started as an idea actually come to life makes every stressful moment worth it.

To all of our friends and family who have popped in and helped in any way possible - whether that’s picking up a paintbrush, moving furniture, fixing something, giving advice, listening to us moan, having a drink with us, or simply showing up and supporting us… thank you. ❤️

And obviously, a MASSIVE shoutout to our little but mighty Tapas team. 💪❤️

You’ve put up with the chaos, the constant changes, the “can we just quickly…” requests, and everything else that comes with opening a new restaurant. We genuinely couldn’t do it without you.

We might be a small team, but what a bloody brilliant one.

Three months in. Still learning. Still changing things. Still stressing. Still having sleepless nights. And still occasionally wondering what the hell we’ve got ourselves into. 😂

But more than anything, we’re incredibly proud of what we’re building.

And this is just the beginning. 🥂❤️
