Telecaster variations

I’ve had a couple of Telecaster builds lying around for over a year and decided to finally finish them.
There aren't many options when assembling your own guitars, so the Telecaster body becomes just about the only choice if you want to build a guitar without a tremolo system.

Image 1:
Ferrari Red Tele-style guitar with Roswell humbuckers and a body made of very lightweight wood—I’m not sure of the specific species.
Dakota Red Tele-style guitar with Roswell P90 pickups and a lightweight mahogany body.

Image 2:
Surf Green Standard Telecaster with Tonerider pickups and a medium-weight alder body.
Pea Green Thinline Telecaster with Gibson mini-humbuckers from the 60s or early 70s. Chambered medium-weight alder body.

Image 3:
Seafoam Green Tele-style Thinline with Roswell pickups—one Gretsch/Filter’Tron style and one gold foil pickup—plus a Tune-o-matic bridge. I assembled this guitar last year.
+ Another look at the Ferrari Red Tele-style guitar.

The guitars in Image 2 feature standard Telecaster bridges. The other guitars have different bridges/bodys and don't sound like Telecasters.
All the necks are made of maple with rosewood fingerboards.

The switching and electronics are quite similar across all the builds, utilizing push-pull potentiometers for extra functions—allowing for a wide range of tonal combinations.

The guitars sound great and are inspiring to play.
The advantage of assembling your own guitars is the ability to customize them to your own tastes and needs.

Enjoy the photos!

Inilah Telecaster Jimmy Page
Buah karya dari @fender USA 🇺🇸
Yang tergolong seri Tribute dan Eksklusif dari Fender Guitars

Check it out video ini akan kedahsyatan suara gitar yang menjadi saksi bisu sejarah musik, khususnya Rock’N’Roll ini‼️

It’s hard for me to believe that for the longest time I didn’t like Telecasters. I guess that’s what happens when you’re young and don’t know much… and the first one you play had a terrible setup. After that, I found a Baja in desert sand at Guitar Center while I was in college and fell in love. I couldn’t afford it then, so eventually I grabbed this 60s Baja and it was extremely nice. I later traded this for my 65 Amps London, a trade I couldn’t pass on.

I don’t let go of guitars often, but with the new Custom Shop I got last week I had to let one go. That said, the black American Pro I Tele arrives to its new owner today. He’s a cool dude and it’s going to be loved I’m sure. Such a fantastic guitar.

The Fender American Pro Tele. The feel is great, the geometry is on point, and the flame on the neck is gorgeous. If it was nitro that would age some and a little bit of a tinted or oiled neck it would be near perfect to my personal taste.

I’ve been on the fence of modding this or letting it go to get a Custom Shop, but then I play it after letting it sit a while and think it’s great just the way it is.
