“The dissonance is heavenly.” Thank you to Charlotte Snow and The Theater Mirror for such a thoughtful review of Beethoven. Beethoven was never intended to be a traditional biographical portrait. It is a fragmented encounter with memory, silence, contradiction, genius, and the people orbiting a man slowly losing sound. A work built as much from atmosphere and emotional dissonance as from narrative itself. We are grateful to audiences and critics willing to engage with experimental theatre in all its risk, imperfection, beauty, and collision. Final performances this weekend in Needham. #Arlekin #Beethoven #BostonTheatre #ExperimentalTheatre #NeedhamMA Instagram post screenshot of a Theater Mirror review for Arlekin Players Theatre’s “Beethoven.” The article headline reads “Arlekin Players’ ‘Beethoven’ Crescendos With Dissonance.” The page features black, white, and blue artwork with hanging telephones, clouds, and a black bird. The review highlights Yana Gladkikh’s imaginative direction, Sarah Infini Takagi’s live music performance, the ensemble cast, lighting design, and the experimental atmosphere of the production. The production is performed in Russian with English subtitles at Arlekin Studio in Needham, Massachusetts. Скриншот поста с рецензией Theater Mirror на спектакль Arlekin Players Theatre «Beethoven».
