I wonder where my compass would point if the world stopped telling me where to go. 🧭💭

Do you ever find yourself thinking this way, or does it feel foreign to you? Does belonging mean giving up parts of yourself to be worthy of love and acceptance?

Just a few thoughts that surfaced in the shower. 🚿💭

Night. 🌙

I hate how easily the world turns people into cans on a shelf.

Pick a label. Thinker or Feeler. Strong or soft. Mind or body. Useful or useless. As if being somewhere in between makes you harder to understand, harder to place, harder to sell.

But I don’t want to keep compartmentalising myself just to make myself easier for the world to process.

I work with AI now, in a world that asks a lot from my mind and almost nothing from my body. Ironically, I make more than I did when I was more physically alive, yet some days I feel less of myself is actually participating.

I miss movement. I miss using my lungs, my voice, my body, my eyes. I miss being allowed to be all of those things without having to explain why they belong together.

Maybe that is the lifelong work: learning how to be the Thinker without abandoning the Feeler, to be strong without becoming hard, to consider others without crucifying yourself for them.

I don’t want to be a well-functioning piece of machinery.

I want to remain human.

Funny how, in a world built around fitting in, simply being fully human can make you feel like the alien. Or have I always been?

The more strength, optimism, hope and vision you reveal, the more the world may test you.

Do not mistake those tests for reasons to surrender.

They are the fire that forges character.

In alchemy, calcination burns away what no longer belongs. The masks. The shadows. The need to become someone else in order to be accepted.

Transformation requires that fire.

Because before we can carry greater influence or responsibility, we must become capable of carrying it without betraying our heart, values or principles.

And true strength is not hardness.

Its strength lies in remaining soft.

Kindness, compassion and unconditional love are not weakness. Strength and softness were never meant to be opposites.

Sometimes transformation emerges precisely through friction:

The believer and the sceptic.
The idealist and the realist.
The dream and the reality that refuses to accommodate it.

Under enough pressure, both may change.

The dreamer becomes more grounded.
The sceptic begins to see another possibility.

Perhaps this is part of the Greater Work.

Not a stone.
Not a saviour.
Not a person.

But something that emerges between opposing forces when neither side simply gives up.

So let people misunderstand you.

Let them play their roles.

I would rather be the strange sheep who dreams, thinks deeply and remains unmistakably itself than become another actor performing for acceptance.

Because the moment one person has the courage to express themselves honestly, everyone around them becomes a little more capable of doing the same.

Some people may never understand the essence of the number 9.

I created a universal language to translate the ways different minds perceive one another.

To 5s, grounded in the five senses and the present moment, the dreamer may appear unrealistic.

To 7s, analytical and evidence-driven, the visionary may seem unfounded.

To 1s, driven to act and see results, the visionary may sound like someone who only bullsh*ts.

Yet without those visionary minds, without the 9s, many of the realities we enjoy today may never have been imagined.

Their contributions are often taken for granted.

Their ideas are repackaged, commercialised and claimed by those who understand image, influence and profit better than they understand the original vision.

But this is not a condemnation of 1s or 8s.

Who will fight for 9s, if not those whose hearts and minds remain grounded enough in the material world to protect what cannot easily protect itself?

Who will defend the quality of human expression of 9s, when their visions and revolutions are inseparable from their own mental, emotional and spiritual health?

Who will fight for the 9s? Will you? Probably not.

For 9s is often willing to erase the self for the sake of something greater.

While others claim the stage, the title and the credit, 9s may sacrifice itself quietly, only to be understood long after it is gone.

Tesla died in poverty, yet his ideas outlived him.

An idea does not require flesh forever.

Who will fight for the visionary, the misunderstood, the neurodivergent and the genius whose value cannot be measured by immediate profit?

Who will restore dignity to the word genius?

Who will protect the minds that society dismisses before later immortalising them?

Who will fight for 9s, if not me?

One day, my flesh and bones may become ashes.

But an idea is much harder to kill than a man.

An idea carries the essence of a vision.

It can change the world.
It can bring people together.
And when someone sacrifices themselves for it long enough, it may continue living among us long after they are gone.

Right, Bruce?

Since AI entered the mainstream, everything digital has gained more weight, more legitimacy, more importance. And so the physical world itself, if not now, then within the next decade, may begin to pale in comparison to the digital world we are building, feeding, and trying our best to make believable.

And because of that, everything that does not enter this digital plane, whether in words, images, symbols, rituals, or lived experience, risks being dismissed, forgotten, or taken for granted.

Even sacred knowledge.

The kinds of knowledge passed from generation to generation, from voice to voice, from hand to hand, from presence to presence, may not survive the next century if they are never translated into the grid.

And so the world may become flatter. More accessible, yes, but also more two-dimensional. More documented, yet less deep. Because not everything real can be uploaded. Not everything sacred can be turned into data.

That is what makes me wonder what we can build that reminds us the real world is not the digital world.
The real world is still the one shaped by the five senses. By touch. By smell. By rhythm. By breath. By presence. By the felt weight of things.

We are a species rooted in the senses. And if we deny that, if we start believing that our highest form is to become digital, to become uploaded, to become purified into image, concept, and code, then perhaps that points to something deeper. Not evolution, but estrangement.

Because maybe the desire to leave the body behind is not always transcendence. Maybe sometimes it is avoidance. Maybe sometimes it is escapism. Maybe sometimes it is the refusal to face the imperfect, sensual, earthly nature of being human.

And perhaps that is the danger.

That in trying to build a world without friction, flaws, and decay, we may also build one without depth, without soul, and without the very textures that made us human in the first place.

That is tonight’s thought.
