This is a special photo of my first finger crochet class! Pictured is me with three of my four students with their work and I’m showing an example swatch.
One student didn’t want to be photographed which is totally fine, consent is key! ☺️ we had a great time and both myself and my students learned a lot

They learned how to make a chain, a foundation stitch and how to modify it to create two different patterns as well as how to make earrings. I learned what works and what doesn’t with instructions and time management and what additional teaching elements I can add to my next class

Speaking of next class, I already know what I’m going to teach next within the finger crochet universe: translated stitches! That means I’ll be teaching the finger crochet version of a few well-known crochet stitches. Stay tuned for more info, it’ll be sooner than you think!

My first finger crochet class was a success! After the subway tried me, I got there and we got to work. The first photo is me and my students. I had 4, one opted out of photos, all good😊 They’re showing off their beautiful work and I’m holding an example swatch

I had a mix of friends and new friends in the class which was lovely and I taught them how to make earrings, chain and my finger crochet version of single crochet stitch as well as a modification to change the pattern.

The second photo is a commemorative gift from my friend Lizz celebrating my first class! So sweet

I was unsure who would come and had four students so I was very happy with the turnout ☺️ We had a great time and both myself and my students learned a lot and taught each other in one way or another

I learned what works and what doesn’t with instructions and time management, how challenging finger crochet really is and how realistic teaching it is and what additional teaching elements I can add to my next class

Speaking of next class, I already know what I’m going to teach next within the finger crochet universe: translated stitches! That means I’ll be teaching the finger crochet version of a few well-known crochet stitches. Stay tuned for more info, it’ll be sooner than you think!
