Reconnecting with radiant souls I deeply care about, creating new heartfelt connections and just having SO MUCH FUN together!

This little journey has filled my heart with so love, light and gratitude.

There was a moment during the night when my friend Brian Feinzimer came over and said, “You need to see this.”

When I walked outside, the sidewalk was completely full.

I just stood there for a moment, taking it all in.

So many people had come to @lenitabygrita in Highland Park, not just to see photographs, but to share stories.

About Brazil.

About childhood memories, neighborhoods, friends, family, the World Cup, and the strange way a photograph can make complete strangers start talking to each other.

Seeing so many people come together because of these photographs was something I’ll never forget. It reminded me that photographs don’t just hang on walls, they start conversations!

Thank you to everyone who came, asked questions, shared memories, laughed, stayed longer than planned, and made “Este Campo Se Chama Brasil” feel so alive.

A special thank you to @nemueldepaula @lenitabygrita @kilo_dp and @goiaba.esporte.clube for welcoming both me and my photographs into such a beautiful space. And thank you to @gaslampkiller for the incredible soundtrack and for keeping the energy going all night long.

Hope everyone had a fun weekend. It is Monday morning, and on Thursday we are going to ride bikes!

Summer is here and we’re so stoked for warm night rides. Let’s do a good one this week and bust a ride up to the Nike Tower for a charcuterie freestyle battle. It’s been a minute and we’re all very due for a proper basketbike climber with a whole lot of snacks at the best view in the area. Our Tinned Fish Social rides usually have a challenging-ish route to a maximal woods-party. Bring a whole bunch, walk your bike a little bit, it’s awesome.

To snack-max this thing let’s start this week over at @vinonrose in Venice. They’re a cool local business and they just opened this whole cheese emporium called Fromagerie next door that is amazing. I can’t think of a better place to start a Tinned Fish Social, I can’t believe we haven’t done it before.

We’ll climb our group of bicycles up Mandeville to the Nike Tower, have a lovely time at the top with views and pleasantries, and then take the fire road down Sullivan Ridge back into town.

There’s a lot of new ppl here on this IG page. Hello, hi, and welcome. If this is your first ride you’re considering doing with us that is awesome, we’re happy to have you. In my humble opinion, this is one of the best rides in the region. We’re going to post some highlighted stories for some good info on how to make riding a bike at night in a group as fun and safe as it can be.

Calling all wholesome cyclefreax of WLA!!!! Hear ye hear ye!!! Thursday at 7:00PM, as is tradition, WE ARE RIDING BIKES!

We’ve been told it’s the best way to see our lovely town at night. We agree. We’re heading up towards Inspiration Point but we’re keeping it moving! No big hangout, much like last week this week is for moving moving moving. We’ll go up some trails, down some trails, around some trails, and through some trails.

A gravel or ATB type whip would work this week. If you want to taste the darkness and come on this weeks ride but you’re bikeless - we are cordially inviting you to enjoy a free rental. We have 4 eHardtails and 2 gravel bikes in our loaner pile right now. You’ll need to buy or have around a 500 lumen ($30) bike light to make it through, as we don’t have many loaners of those anymore.
