Are you and the hubby pondering a pool? Maybe you’ve been chatting about it for a while but it’s felt a little out of reach, with interest rates and Covid - things have been a little unsteady. Until now… you’re ready to get started. But where do you start?

Start collecting all the little details. Pay attention to where the yard catches the most light. Think about how close you want the pool to your home. Do you have lots of kids and plan on hosting lots of pool parties, maybe you should consider a bigger pool. Are you one to laze poolside on a sunny Sunday arvo, you’ll want to add space for those sun beds and a big bright brolly.

There’s other more technical stuff that we’ll chat about like access and services underground, but honestly we can get your head around all of that - no dramas.

Where I reckon the best place for you to start is dreaming up your perfect weekend by the pool. What does it look like, how will you use it, do you want a spa too? Maybe a cabana and a fire pit close by?

…. then jump on our website and fill in the contact form. We’ll be in touch asap ready to debrief on all those pool dreams of yours. Link in bio, as always.

Project Motel Molly | Mediterranean infused with Moroccan details. The handmade green and white tiles perfectly contrasting against the pastel blue wall. Bougainvillea slowly creeping waiting to flower with deep shades of pink.

Project Motel Molly | The brief was modern Mediterranean with a coastal feel. We used a microcement coping for the pool to create a timeless and classic look. Rounded off with pink crazy paved limestone, creating both warmth and texture.

Project Dominic Street | An outdoor shower is the perfect element of functionality in this coastal backyard where Buxus Balls and Viola form a soft ground cover. Stephanotis Floribunda, or Madagascan Jasmine climbs gently in the background, waiting to explode with clusters of pure white, waxy, intensely fragrant flowers.

Friday I’m in love (with summer days, poolside).

And also, there is something incredibly beautiful about how a monument pool fence makes that water pop 💧
