Usher’s “Chains” from 2015 hits even harder today.
With everything going on, it’s a reminder that real change takes real awareness and action. Do you really know and understand what’s happening?
Some songs aren’t just for the moment… they’re for the movement. 🎶✊🏾

For the past three years, I’ve been going to see Usher and having the time of my life every single time. This Saturday, I’m headed to Breezy Bowl and I already know it’s going to be 🔥.

People love to compare the two, but I don’t. There’s no need. They’re both incredibly talented… just in different ways.

Let’s stop letting opinions and comparison keep us from getting good music— this is all about love of R&B and the performance. It’s about the music and the feeling we get when we hear it. It’s not about what they MAY have going on and/or who can one up the other. Let’s not make things so complicated. I love them both and I hope to see them share a stage again one day. It would be so dope if Usher popped out at one of these concerts. Music is therapy. Nothing can stop the healing! ❤️ 🎤🎶 #RNBLegends #NoComparison #JustVibes #UsherRaymond #ChrisBrown #LetsDoItAgain #Concerts

All of these people have inspired me in some way. Some are gone, some are still living and some have changed… but that doesn’t take away from their contribution! I still have more to do here… I’m running out of room! #wall #art #badass #legends #icons #usher #pac #kanye #diana #michael #samuel #malcolm #randb #lauren #hiphop #whitney #ali #huey #mypresident just to name a few!!

Just watched Ms. Jonnetta Patton on the “Got It From My Momma”Podcast with Jennifer Vickery Smith—and she did not disappoint! 👏🏾 She shared gems on parenting Usher and James (who would’ve thought…James was the sneaky one 🤣), intentionality, loving yourself and staying passionate about your dreams. She was adamant that Usher would get what he earned and her determination made her an absolute beast in the music industry. Ms. Patton is an inspiration and a true blueprint for boss moms everywhere! Swipe to see the highlights and check out the full interview on YouTube! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I saw this video posted on BET’s page and I wanted to give @jpatjames a shout out! Ms. Patton— you did an incredible job raising Usher. His talent, grace, and authenticity are a reflection of strong roots and love. We’ve all admired him for years — not just for his music, but also for the way he carries himself and the character he possesses. We know that kind of character starts at home. You clearly raised a man with integrity, passion, and purpose. And, you impressed upon him the importance of being a caring father. As a single mother, I know for a fact that that’s no small feat… ESPECIALLY during those times that he was unwavering! You raised a legend and icon! You should be so proud!! We too are thankful! ❤️#teamusher #usher #jpat #ushersmom #usherraymond #legend #icon
