Last week the dancers stepped into ballet with Kayleigh.

For many, it was a style they had never trained before and a completely different demand on the body, the mind and their movement quality.

Control.
Precision.
Placement.
Discipline.

A style that demands awareness of every detail and teaches dancers how to truly connect to their movement.

The kind of training that challenges dancers to become more versatile, more refined and more intentional in the way they move.

Kayleigh created such a supportive environment while still encouraging the dancers to step outside of what feels comfortable, embrace something new and fully lean into the process.

Sharp execution. Presence. Projection. Commitment.

Last week we were incredibly lucky to have Ashleigh Kohler step into the space and share not only her experience, but the level of performance demanded within the professional entertainment industry.

Our dancers learnt a section from the Sequins & Feathers show onboard Royal Caribbean, exposing them to the style, performance quality and expectations required on international contracts.

Ashleigh challenged the dancers to adapt quickly, perform bigger and move beyond what felt comfortable or familiar.

This was not just about learning choreography.
It was about understanding the standard behind it.

The dancers were pushed into a completely different performance space and rose to the challenge beautifully.

@karlytolland brought years of industry experience into the space, with a career spent performing around the world.

She brought the kind of movement that doesn’t let dancers hide. Speed, style, precision and performance all at once.

We welcomed @char__leigh back into the room a full circle moment from Week One.

A completely different space this time.

Jazz.
Kicks, leaps and turns.
Technique that had to hold, not just exist.

You could feel the growth.
In the control.
In the understanding.
In the way the dancers carried the work into the choreography.

Each week, the standard rises and so do they.

Sometimes the world of the piece is bold.
Sometimes it’s absurd.

But the commitment to it must be real.

Inside The Vault this week our dancers explored musical theatre through intention, character and storytelling, discovering how every movement carries thought, emotion and purpose, and how leaning fully into the world of the piece, even the absurd moments, is what truly brings it to life.

The world @cooperswainn created with this piece, and the detail behind every movement, pushed our dancers to think deeper, commit fully and lean into the world of musical theatre.
