🎶👏🏽💰😁We had an awesome time with the Upward Bound students at Little Rock’s Southwest High School today!! Thank you so much for the invitation, Vicki Hatter! @thevickihatter

We talked about the importance of banking and building that relationship. We talked about checking and savings accounts and how First Security Bank really makes banking convenient for all of our youth ages 0-17 as a matter of fact! We talked about budgeting and being smart when it comes to handling our money. After we finished talking about our new Flex Checking account, one of the students started singing the Flex Line Dance song…well one thing led to another and uhmmmmm…check out the videos! A great time was definitely had!👏🏽🎶💃🏽💰

Students, remember Cash App is NOT the end all be all!!! If you had a problem, who do you know at Cash App to call?!? Put your CashApp, PayPal, Venmo, all that good stuff over in your bank account where the funds will be insured.😉

Get your custom LRSD debit card and FLEX with us!

Enjoyed seeing lots of community leaders at Brady Elementary this am. Big thanks to LR Firefighters Union 34 and @entergy AR for proving coats to kids through Operation Warm. Working together, they’ve provided 6,000 coats to children at 14 elementary schools.

The fate of Parkview has drawn public interest from those who want the existing campus to stay in place but with renovations and the addition of a football stadium.

"I would like to advocate for Parkview to remain in its current location," Walter Washington, Jr., a parent of two Parkview students, wrote to the board and district staff this week. "I believe that with the right funding, we can update, remodel, and renovate the existing space, including the addition of a football stadium. This approach not only preserves the rich history and community spirit of the school but also makes financial and environmental sense.

👏🏽🙏🏽❤️Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Vicki Hatter!! Your tireless efforts advocating for our students, schools and community are very much appreciated! @thevickihatter

To everyone who came to the meeting tonight-THANK YOU!!! Our collective voices brought the change that we were seeking and that’s to LEAVE PARKVIEW ALONE! Thanks to all of the community support, Dr. Wright assured us that this is no longer an option!

Now, what is left on the table is the building of the new high school out west on Hwy 10. A lot of great suggestions were mentioned tonight that could benefit the EXISTING schools in the district by using that money to revitalize existing buildings and facilities instead of building a new $153 million dollar school with the hopes of getting students to fill it! The board will vote on Dec 14th!

To everyone concerned- Don’t let tonight be the stopping point. Stay involved! There are other schools with major concerns as well. Contact your school board members, city and state officials and let your voices be heard! Change is made when we come together!
