THANK YOU Green Day for writing one of the most timeless songs of all time 🫶🏻 @greenday

It’s crazy how a send off song to your ex girlfriend can become something played at every graduation across the country. 🎓

You never know where life is going to take you, but you just have to know it’s going to be beautiful… that’s exactly what this song is about, and that’s exactly what happened to this song 🧡

I definitely had the Time Of My Life at Welcome To Rockville 2025, and I’m so excited for next year! 🖤 The band announcements are coming soon, and I’m ready to grow into new music as much as I’m ready to celebrate the old 🫶🏻 @welcometorockville

Story time! 💚 I’ve seen Green Day live 3 times, they played Jesus of Suburbia every time, but I only got to see it live the last time I saw them at WTR 2025…

Why, you might ask?
Well…

I saw them for the first time at the Hella Mega Tour. It was my friend’s birthday present, so I was in the merch line during Green Day’s set since it was the least crowded at that time. I was in the merch line for 10 minutes and, you guessed it, 9 of those minutes were spent listening to Jesus of Suburbia from afar.

I saw them for the second time at the Innings Festival back when it was held in Tampa. I had a long drive to Tallahassee early morning the next day, so a very tired Violet replied to a question on leaving early with, “Yeah we can. It’s not like they’re gonna play a 10-minute song.” And of course, they closed with, you guessed it, Jesus of Suburbia. We circled the venue with our windows down trying to hear as much as we could! 😂

I saw them for the third time at Welcome to Rockville 2025, and despite my friend trying to convince me to leave early, I vowed to NOT miss this song again! Third time really is a charm, and I feel like my life is complete as a Green Day fan now 😂💚

Keep going to concerts, keep healing through music, and keep living by my favorite lyric in any song ever:
“To live and not to breathe is to die in tragedy.” - Green Day 🫶🏻

Cats & Caffeine Cat Cafe has the cutest vibe over here in Tampa!! 💖 (Metal music not included. That was just a me thing 😋)

Their strawberry lemonade matcha was sooo good and the cats were sooo cute!!!! 🍵💖 I highly recommend this spot! @catscaffeine

Of course, in my opinion, screamy music makes everything better 😋✌🏻

Be more like you and less like them!!!! 🫶🏻🫧❤️‍🔥

Sometimes in life, people want you to conform to the social norm, but it’s important to realize when you’re just ahead of your time 🧚🏻‍♀️❤️‍🔥

Not everybody will understand you. THAT’S OK 💖 Be you anyway and find your people. The most punk thing you can do is stay true to yourself in a world full of copies! ❤️‍🔥

Enjoy this clip of Green Day’s “Minority” live at Rockville 2025! 😍 Such an amazing show ❤️‍🔥

I won’t lie to you… we got to the Apex Stage 2 HOURS before Green Day came on to get this close! Their set ended up bringing the LARGEST WELCOME TO ROCKVILLE CROWD IN HISTORY! 🔥🤩❤️‍🔥🙌🏻

One Eyed Bastard is my favorite Saviors album song, but it’s a close call between so many others, because that album is AMAZING!! 🩷🩷🩷

Green Day played Dilemma, One Eyed Bastard, and Bobby Sox off Saviors at Welcome to Rockville - 3 of my favorites!!! - and I was so happy to see them live! So glad the album didn’t get Father Of All-ed… if you know, you know! 🤣🤘🏻💕

This was my 3rd time seeing Green Day. Until we meet again 🫡🩷

“Don’t get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.” - Dolly Parton 🫶🏻

WE MISS YOU SO MUCH ALREADY DOLLY 😭💖🫶🏻

I never listened to much of Dolly’s music, but I feel her loss deeply. She was a true icon with the purest soul. 🤍

When she was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, she felt like she didn’t belong, so she created an entire rock n’ roll album featuring legendary rock n’ roll musicians. 🤘🏻🔥🎸 I have incredible respect for this woman. Absolute icon behavior! ❤️‍🔥

We miss you, Dolly. Thank you for inspiring several generations with your kindness, wisdom, and soul 🤍🕊️💕

Welcome to Rockville 2025 was my FSU graduation gift to myself to prove that I wasn’t going to let life pass me by or stop me from making this life what I wanted it to be! 🖤

My original life plan was to go from my Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology at Florida State University all the way through to my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine 👩🏼‍⚕️

Did that happen? Nope!
Am I glad that didn’t happen? Absolutely!!!!

I noticed during my senior year summer at FSU that I was growing into different things and I allowed myself to change my path 🛤️

I wanted to be a cool young adult who didn’t let life pass her by and someone who actually did all the awesome things I told people I was going to do 💪🏻🌞

So, I took a gap year to travel America, experience music festivals, and grow into a career! 🗺️🎶

I am almost 24, and my dreams have not gone out the door. I rest assured now that I will never be like Debbie from Bowling For Soup’s “1985,” because I make the active choice to live my best life every day and be whoever I want to be 💃🏻 🪩 🌞 💗

It is NEVER too late to start living for today! ✨ Stop and smell the roses. Book that flight. Buy those concert tickets. Text that person. Be whoever you want to be. Live life for you, every day, and don’t let anything stop you! ✈️ 🗺️ 🎶 🧚🏻‍♀️ ✨ 💖

I am not where I thought I’d be AT ALL 5 years ago, but somehow I love being graduated with a Bachelor’s degree that took a LOT of work to get, working 2 jobs in totally different career fields, and going back to school to be a Personal Trainer. 💪🏻🩷

Let your life look LITERALLY HOWEVER YOU WANT IT TO, & remember YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE AT ANY TIME! ✌🏻💖

Rockville 2025 had the most iconic behavior 😂🤘🏻❤️‍🔥

Almost getting caught in a mosh pit during the Phineas and Ferb Theme Song live performance was NOT on my 2025 Bingo card! 😂 It was pretty awesome though 🫧

I’ve been really enjoying digging up these old Welcome to Rockville videos! More to come soon! 🫶🏻

Rockville 2025 was unforgettable for me for many reasons 😆🫶🏻🖤

Music festivals are an amazing way to get your steps in, get out of your comfort zone, and enjoy amazing music by great bands, but make sure to remain aware of your surroundings for your own safety!! 🫶🏻

Crowd-surfing and mosh pits can be a fun energy, but there’s also lots of room for injuries. Stay aware, stay safe, and remember the number one rule of mosh pits: IF SOMEBODY FALLS, PICK THEM UP!!!! 🖤❤️‍🔥
