The Atlas INTERSECTIONS Festival showcases powerful multidisciplinary performances that inform, inspire, educate, and entertain. Centered around STORY, MOVEMENT, and SOUND, the festival fosters community connection, engages artists and audiences, and celebrates diverse perspectives that reflect our shared humanity.

Applications will be adjudicated by a panel of performing artists and selections are made based on festival theme, feasibility, and schedule. All performing companies and artists are welcome to apply. Works previously produced are eligible. While artists/companies outside of the DC metro area may apply, strong preference is given to DC metro area artists and DC based artists in particular. All artists must be eligible to work in the U.S.

The VIVA School of Dance- RESONANCE
May 1-2 - Tickets on sale now atlasarts.org/events/viva-school-resonance/

The VIVA School’s RESONANCE arrives in the room like a frequency you feel before you hear it.

The work is alive with intention, moving through space with a sustained investigation of energy, weight, and release. Set against a season of change and becoming, RESONANCE positions the dancer in full possession of both stillness and wonder, offering audiences an experience as deeply felt as it is seen. It inhabits the space between stillness and flight, and in doing so reminds us that live performance, at its most essential, does not merely move through the air. It changes it.

RESONANCE is a testament to VIVA’s unwavering commitment to artistic excellence and the transformative power of movement. Audiences are invited into an evening of work that lingers long after the final bow

Say it with us: Black history isn’t a moment. It’s a movement. Black culture is not a trend. It’s a legacy.

This evening with @thevivaschool was a celebration of lineage, rhythm, and imagination. From the energy in the room, to every detail crafted with legacy in mind, movement was the real storyteller.

Kicking off #BlackHistoryMonth with Black brilliance at the center. We are proud to celebrate Black culture out loud, reminding future generations that they are destined for greatness.
