Thank you September for the sunshine 🌞

It’s felt like an extension of summer and for that I’m very grateful. We now have two boys in school, and one girl very cross that she’s not in school with them.

We’ve all had a fairly big month and getting used to our new normal but we’ve managed to make lots of happy memories along the way too 💕

🌕✨ Last Thursday’s Gather evening at the Waggon Sauna was pure magic.

Gather: Sauna & Silence welcomed hot sauna rounds in stillness, cold water therapy, fire pit stories, soul-stirring words from Meraki’s founder Bekah...and shooting stars overhead. ✨ setting the perfect mood for the season turning🍁🍂

Thank you Elenid for holding such a gentle, nurturing space for us at @thewaggonsauna , and to the wonderful women who joined the gather circle!🙏🌙

See you again in November!

Oh just the most heavenly hour in the middle of nowhere, putting the world to rights with my girl @millygriffin1 🩵 It was exactly what we both needed after a busy week juggling work and mum life.

If you’re Surrey based I highly recommend trying out @thewaggonsauna 🚿🍂🌞

Sauna and cold showers in the wilderness for the best part of an hour with left me feeling so calm, I can’t wait to go back.

✨ Women Who Walk Wellness Social — what a day! ✨

Today we hosted our very first Women Who Walk Wellness Social at The Waggon Sauna in Farnham — bringing together wellness, creativity, connection and community for a day dedicated to slowing down and taking some time for ourselves. 🌿

From yoga & sound, sauna sessions and wellbeing practitioners, to mindful colouring, journalling, origami, dried flower bookmarks, a grazing spread and goodie bags — there was plenty to enjoy, but most importantly, plenty of time to simply relax and connect.

A huge thank you to our incredible practitioners @uprising.yoga , @sonia.careerwellbeingcoaching and @recooperates and @thewaggonsauna for helping bring the day to life. Thank you also to every local business who generously supported us with goodies, discounts and prizes. 🤍

And of course, thank you to every attendee who joined us and supported our first Wellness Social. It was so lovely to hear how relaxed, recharged and refreshed so many of you felt afterwards — exactly what we hoped to create.

This feels like the start of something new for Women Who Walk, and I’m already excited about where we can take it next.

Watch this space… there might just have to be a Wellness Social 2 ✨

Happy Back British Farming Day - you know we love the cows, but today, for the last time, it has to be all about the hops.

What are hops? Those green, fluffy cones that flavour your Guinness, Doombar or Landlord to name but a few. If you like a warm, brown beer - you like hops.

Having grown up in Kent, hop farms were a part of my childhood (I had to explain to a certain Gloucestershire farmer what they were when we first got together almost 11 years ago) and they have formed a significant part of British agricultural history. From over 2000 hop growers in the 1800’s to less than 40 today, hops are a victim of the changing climate, consumer choices and the rising costs of farming.

This week, @hampton_estate harvested hops for the last time; the final chapter in a hop picking tale spanning four generations on this farm. We came together on Monday to remember and celebrate a rich history of pickers and pints at Hampton, giving tours of the oast and letting her run for the final time. We may have only been a line in the story, but we will always remember harvest 2025 & 2026 as two of our favourites.

Details of the final hop harvest at Hampton featured on BBC 4’s Farming Today on Tuesday 8th September. You can listen now on iplayer.
