![THE WALKING GAY is an obvious satire to the very famous The Walking Dead, but, instead of a zombie apocalypse, we have an "epidemy of homoaffectiveness". However from the homophobes perspective, because, after all, there is no real apocalypse! The retrograde and ignorant people are the ones hallucinating about this conspiracy theory of "the world's becoming gay". Through comedy we propose, with this project, a hard criticism against LGBTQphobia, putting the scope at the ludicrous of the prejudice.
Well, for those yet unaware, this project had some inspirations, one of them, if not the most important, was the addition of AARON on the original series, brightly portrayed by @rossmarquand , one of the first gay characters in The Walking Dead. But he's not only that. Aaron is strong and caring, believes in good outcomes even in the most impossible scenarios. He has his own contraditions and fears, like everyone else's, and, at the same time, Aaron is brave to fight against all that is evil and diseased in favor of his hopes.
And it was, starting from this wonderful personification, how we set the main concept of our project: "Only love can defeat hate!"
Someone asked Ross: "What is the importance of having this representation in a famous show?", and he did answer: "It's the greatest honor that I ever had!". But we are really the ones honored for having your work resound the whole world in such a changing way, my dear Ross! Not only normalizing LGBTQIAPN+ people, helping part of the society to recall these people DO EXIST, but furthermore inspiring other artists, like us from @grupocaos , to spread this issue yet so necessary!
And, not by accident, we were contemplated at @apulia_web_fest , with the "Best series in defense of LGBTQ+ human rights" award. Lwt be known that this award is also yours, Ross, it was a huge honor being able to shake your hand and thank you personally for so much! 🙏
I hope that you keep doing inspiring works, and above all that you always be this kind and humble of a human - what is also absolutely inspiring. Wish you love and a big hug from all of Them in CAOS Group, and from Thr Walking Gay crew.
Success, my dear friend.
