POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The majority of this industry is run by women and we LOVE that, but on #internationalmensday we want to recognize the men that keep it running.
Like this guy! @thewanderingdonkey aka Tyler. Not only is he always in full beast mode, but he pushes the team when we need to be pushed, brings energy and life to room like no one else, and is the ultimate get shit done-er.
🍻 thank you to all the men out there silently (or in Tyler’s case no so silently) giving their all and planting the seeds of love, hope, and resilience to those around them.

19 years….. we all made it through together.

The toaster is a little worse for wear, he lost his knob but still toasts things wonderfully. Mixer needs a good beat every once in a while to make sure she stays together. Garbage can is much loved as you can tell, that’s his second set of eyes of tongue. And the only wedding pictures we have out at all are the candids put together by a loved college friend 💖.
As for us, not sure how we made, let’s hope we keep the streak going.

Building custom props for events sometimes results in a little oopsie. Don’t fret, often times the easiest fix comes from unlikely sources.
I use automotive bondo to fill accidental holes in my projects, it’s easy to mix and apply, sands down effortlessly, and is super hard when cured. And it doesn’t crack the way some wood fillers do.

Let me know what tips or tricks you have that might make my life easier.

Growth happens in the discomfort—that’s where I plan to be. This trip challenged me mentally, but I’ve been in the event industry long enough to know that pushing through gets easier every time. Staying stagnant isn’t an option. Whether in event design, corporate events, or the creative industry, learning and evolving is the only way forward. How do you push yourself to grow?

Fixing is a big part of this industry. Being a Jack or Jane of all trades is so important.

Each piece of inventory is so special and needs to be treated with respect.

Today I’m using lepage wood glue to secure the legs and braces of this beautiful teak coffee table that we borrowed from the amazing @lakeandlunastyling. Securing with clamps so she’ll be ready to work with the rest of our inventory to help create memories

Why is a paint booth so important? Because now we can custom paint our inventory to meet whatever colour our clients want! You want a lime green Barbie Box? Sure! How about a bright pink bar? Sure! Can you airbrush a photo of my grandmother onto a wall panel? I mean yeah, but she may turn out looking more like a stick figure with jowels, but we can do it!

When we look for things and business’ to help us with what we do, we are attracted to people and business’ who really care. BEFORE day 1 with @RWelephant, I really felt like they cared, and they really do.
